  1. Shaq's on his last legs... Game 2 going for a total of 5 points? Come on... I don't care that he sort of rebounded in Game 3... 5 points from the Shaq-attack?? I think he'll be back next season but after that I think it's over... Mavs are a really bad style match up for the Heat. Mavs in 6.
  2. I think the Brazilians are going to take the whole cup, followed by England, then the French and then the Germans in 4th. USA got owned today by the Czechs, it was appauling... Doesn't get any easier playing the Italians in the next match. I'm wondering if we could even put up a fight against Ghana? I can't wait for the Brazil and French opener. It'll be fun to see how these two teams are going to start.
  3. I actually think Kobe deserves it more than Nash. Sure, we all know Nash can pass the ball and is responsible for Phoenix's fast-paced gameplay, but if you took him off the Suns team, they'd still be pretty respectable with Marion and Amare. This isn't so true when you consider the Lakers. When you take away the 30+ points that Kobe scores a night, the Lakers have absolutely no one. Their next best player, Lamar Odom, can't begin to match that on a consistent basis and lead the team. Kobe should also get the MVP award because he also managed to smooth things out (somewhat) with Phil Jackson. Nash doesn't really have to bury the hatchet with his coach...
  4. hahaha :D Works everytime doesn't it fellas?
  5. Well, except for his character flaws, Hemingway is an incredible writer. If you see past the actual plot lines in his stories like The Old Man and the Sea and of course A Farewell to Arms, it's incredible literature. Vonnegut isn't exactly all that flattering to women either. Cat's Cradle where the women are either extrememly ugly or die early on; and in Slaughterhouse where women are trophy wives or fat. So, since both writers are sexist, I think Hemingway's writing is better than Vonnegut's.
  6. I played this once when I was 12... I collected them Space Marine fellows. Incredibly expensive hobby. As far as I know my models are still collecting dust in some box out in the garage. 8)
  7. I've read Vonnegut's Slaughterhouse Five for school but never really got into him. I did like the book and his themes and symbols were pretty good too but something just didn't click the way things do when I read something truly spectacular. I guess I'm more of a Hemingway man. :P
  8. The first one is gasheart's bank right? :? never seen the second one before... Correct. The second one was my bank a couple days after the dupe.
  9. I know I'm not the only one thinking this but I've got the balls to say it... What the hell are you talking about? On topic: I like NPR. I don't listen to it religiously, but when there's nothing to do or something important has happened in the world I listen to see what some of the shows have to say about it.
  10. I don't even come here anymore and still you remember the flame wars. Lol, those were the days. Anyway, i'm sure your all aware I support United, I can't really say I support another team, I sometimes watch Barca as they play the best football around. As for best players in the world right now, in no particular order, except Ronaldinhio i'd say: Ronaldinhio, Eto'o, Shevchenko, Gerrard, and Terry. Did you see Shevchenko's goal in the last Champions League game? Stole it from the keeper and put it in the back of the net right at the end of the match.
  11. What's your major Weez? Some of my friends are going to UCD next year.
  12. They may be far off but there's plenty of things to think about such as taking SAT classes or at the very least the PSAT. Especially as your class won't be able to take the "old" SAT, the new format is something you want to become familiar with. Also visiting colleges, or at least seriously considering which ones you want to apply to, is important Junior year. I didn't really get involved in my college choices until late in my Junior year and I definitely missed some colleges I regret not sending apps to like Cal, Columbia and NYU. Oh yeah, and talk to your counselor and see if you can set up a challenging curriculum that will impress a college. IB or AP classes and the like...
  13. This is one of my favorites: and another bank pic: Some good times...
  14. I take it you live in Nor-Cal then?
  15. Good for you man. Throw off the addiction! :P
  16. I don't think they should've lost, UCLA got pwned. The only thing I didn't like about Noah was his weird first name. Joakim, pronounced Joe-Kim. Why the "a"??? Joe-ah-kim? >_< That and I think his hair and braces aren't cool... Yeah, the whole record for blocks was impressive. But I'm happy Florida won it. I couldn't stand it if UCLA won. It's karma for not accepting me!
  17. UCs > CSUs xP I wasn't that impressed with Cal when I looked into it and when I visited. The campus was nice but I wasn't too fond of Berkeley itself. UCLA was beautiful but there was a certain arrogance around them that I didn't care for. UCD is boring cuz it's in the middle of no where. I live in Sac, I'd know... And then there's UCSD. Hopefully it'll be as nice as I think it'll be cuz that's where I'll be next year! :P Oh yeah, Cal Poly SLO is pretty nice too I hear.
  18. Wow great job! I first saw your mediocre combat stats and didn't think much of it then I saw the rest of your stats... (yeah I'm really biased and look at combat first...) Anyway, keep it up! 1600 total and relatively low combat is impressive!
  19. Yeah it was kind of disappointing not seeing any of the favorites make it further into the tournament like UConn or NC.
  20. Haha so UCLA lost to the Florida Gators! Wonder if anyone actually had them down to win it in their brackets?
  21. Manchester United and Eric Cantona! Got to love a player that will kick a rowdy supporter in the face... Sure Man. U have been having their problems the past couple of years but back in the day they were unbeatable. Every team has their bad years and I'm sure they'll fight their way back to the top of the Premiership.

    When or how?

Ignorance is bliss. I'm perfectly happy not knowing either of the two. But if I absolutely had to choose, it would definitely be when I'd go. Simply because I don't really care how I die. I mean it all ends up being the same thing no matter what it is that actually does it so who cares?
  23. West Point and the other academies don't solely train the Intel. officers and the techies. Most of their graduates are cadets that want to make a career out of the military by starting off as an officer rather than as an enlisted man who just went to the recruiting officer and signed a paper.
  24. My friend wanted to apply to west point, but he changed his mind because he didn't want his mom to worry. Presonally I think it's kinda dumb to get all that high education to be potentially killed. I kind of agree with that. Although I definitely want someone with a high degree of education commanding the meat-heads out in the field as opposed to the un-educated leading the un-educated. Ya know?
  25. I like the complete history of the French military. It's a nice burn on the French. I'm pretty sure the laughter will last the full five minutes without you having to present more than your title.
