  1. Although I own an old school iPod (remember those :P ) 40GB, I suggest a different make MP3 player simply because Apple is no longer the sole maker of MP3 players and there are nicer and better buys than iPods. Even though you're only 15 you can find some more, ermm, reliable MP3 players for around $100. Surely you must get an allowance?
  2. Ar-doon. Pretty sure that's NOT how you're supposed to say it but that's the way the voice in my head pronounced it when it first came out way back when so that's the way it was.
  3. Wasn't it the pink party hat that was worth more than others before some one has explored a phat dupe? Yeah. Pink was the most valuable hat because some rich guy hoarded all of them and so, therefore, their prices went up. Because of this, when the dupe occurred, the dupers focused on creating Pink Party hats, thus making them the least expensive. Blue Party hats became the most expensive hat and still are today. The reason why party hats are so expensive can be summed up in three words: Supply and Demand. Don't know what I'm talking about, look it up.
  4. ...and the fact that it landed on a Tuesday made it not as fun as it usually is. So I bought my girlfriend some chocolate, flowers and a stuffed animal and we both agreed that we'd go out for dinner and whatever on Friday night. Also our anniversary was on the 12th so Friday'll be a double celebration date. :D
  5. lol This is one of the best topics ever... I love food. :D
  6. OT: Prove this statement before saying it. In the media all the time, its common to hear "A Muslim man.." "A Islamic man..". You know its true... not once would you ever hear "A Christian man.." "A Buddhist man.." Media is biased. Its a tool for the government so they can get society consent. When Bush envaded Iraq, for example. Bush said they had weapons of mass destruction, flooded the media and manipulated everyone to believe Saddamm had chemical weapons. Once you have public consent, you can get away with a lot of things. And there were no weapons of mass destruction.. I want to disagree on the WMD point. Saddam DID have WMDs but not at the time we invaded. If you'll remember America spent about 6 months threatening to invade Iraq for their failure to comply with UN inspections. What do you think he was doing during those 6 months? I do agree with you, though, that mass media is heavily biased especially when it comes to Islamic related stories. However, the fundamental extremists are ready to riot about absolutely anything, no matter how trivial, and to burn down embassies over a cartoon, no matter how provacative, is, in my opinion, an over-reaction.
  7. It's ridiculous the level of suspicion that's everywhere in RuneScape. I understand it's because of the macroers and I know that they're a problem but it really makes the game less fun with everyone suspecting one another of macroing. Why can't we all just get along? Think about it, is reporting one macroer or even five macroers going to make THAT much of a difference in the game overall? Of course not... Let it go, let JAGeX fight the war against macroers, enjoy the game. Macroers aren't going to go away, they'll just keep improving their scripts and creating new characters. All these posts on the forums dealing with people acting suspiciously or people someone thinks that are hacking... who cares? Enough already, it's getting tiresome.
  8. The second that the person who is impersonating a JAGeX staff member incorrectly spells something, that's the tell-tale sign for me. That and there's no crown... I doubt that any JAGeX staff member would ever use slang like: 'ur'. At least I hope they wouldn't.
  9. I agree. The worst part is that RuneScape didn't always used to be like this. Back in 2001/2002 in RSC and way before RS2 was even thought of, there were fewer players and the community was closer. It's too bad that that has changed so much over the years.
  10. Keeping your account information safe is your responsibility, not JAGeX's. They do enough by warning you about the dangers of people that are desperate enough to steal your account.
  11. Would you laugh if Jesus' beard was depicted, even in a cartoon, as a bomb? Or if not you, wouldn't some fundamental Christians be protesting somewhere right now? Of course they would... But it's just a way to make Muslims laugh though, so it's ok to go around depicting people's deities in a manner as they so please right?
  12. I've heard a lot about people saying that it'll just make things faster for macroers that got caught... So what? They're still going to create a new character anyway so why prolong it? Having it shorter does make it faster for them but they're going to see it through anyway because the time wasted on doing the tutorial island is outweighed by the benefit of being able to macro. I think the reason why the Tutorial Island should NOT be made optional is because of noobs that need to learn how to play the game. Although, something does have to be said for learning as you play. I started the game before the Tutorial Island was implemented and am just as able to play the game as the next person. I think that it is better for new players to be able to be led through the various aspects of the game; especially as the game expands and there are more skills to learn.
  13. I see your point and can follow the logic of your argument, but I still have a hard time believing that this is some big JAGeX conspiracy to make money. At best, I think it is a nice side effect from macroers that JAGeX did not forsee and since it is beneficial, have done little to stop it. However, the macroers, especially the old school ones, caused JAGeX a lot of problems because they discovered and then exploited bugs. Remember the party hat dupe? That was because of the macroers messing around with [ForbiddenSite] and discovering how to create items. I also agree that JAGeX had done very little to stop macroers and have backed out of the RuneScape community and have become more of a company rather than a community leader of sorts. However, this is just the natural evolution of a company. As its game becomes more popular and bigger, the nature of the company changes. Get used to it, it's only going to get worse.
  14. I thought it was pretty funny but that humor was outweighed by the fact that I was disappointed at there not being an actual blonde joke.
  15. I don't see any sort of credible evidence to supports the idea that this guy is some supposed time traveller. Anyone can make predictions as long as they are vague and very general. Notice how most of his predictions are far off in the distance? 2008...2012... How about he predicts something that will happen tomorrow or in a week? And this whole idea about him changing the past which has affected our future which explains why his 2005 prediction didn't come true? Come on... seriously, what a load of cabbage.
  16. Tempura shrimp? mmmmmm... *drools*
  17. Well Freedom of Expression is not limited to where people are "insulted or offended". That's the whole point, Freedom of speech, expression, whatever, is freedom to say whatever you want as long as it is not physically threatening to someone. For instance you can't walk into a court room and yell: "BOMB!" and claim that you have a right to yell whatever you want. However Freedom of Speech does protect radical and racial opinions. For example the KKK can walk around town preaching their racial propaganda as long as they get a permit from the city. I agree that the Danish newspaper perhaps went too far in publishing that cartoon and should've known the reaction it would create. However it was their right to do so, no matter how dumb it was. Plain and simple, they should've done their homework on Islam before they printed something so obviously controversial. I think that these militant extremists are giving Islam a bad name, not only in America but across the globe. Islam is a peaceful religion as a whole and I don't think it is fair to confuse a Muslim's religion with these people's political views and opinions about America.
  18. as long as it has cheese on it :) Definitely! Can't have spaghetti without cheese. The more cheese the better, especially when the cheese is slightly melted.
  19. It has to be spaghetti... And I'm talking about the authentic, home-style Italian spaghetti. Not the crap that you find at fast-food places or what have you. I mean flying over to Italy, or Europe at least, and get some of the stuff made by real Italians. :D
  20. I didn't really care who won the Superbowl this year... Gratz to the Steelers for managing not to choke as bad as the Seahawks did. I think that the Seahawks should've won, especially if they managed to play the way they were playing during the playoffs. The reverse and then pass to Ward was THE best play the entire game and for that, I give the Steelers big propz because that takes balls to even try that, let alone pull it off. I wasn't even really that impressed with the commercials this year either. The Rolling Stones at half time was pretty cool though.
  21. Yer right. Not. Now go and be scammed off a few millions. See who comes and rant on the forums. A truly dedicated player would sack up and pick himself up, not quit and cry like a baby on forums. Sure, I don't blame him for trying to get some sympathy but what else is he expecting? Neither us, nor JAGex, is going to give him anything close to what he lost so it's a waste of effort and space on the forum. I have been scammed before, I've also lost millions worth of gp back when it was actually impressive to have accumulated 1M and I did feel bad but I didn't throw my hands in the air and scream: "I quit!". Hell no, I told myself that I wasn't having any of this and started fishing until I had made more than I had lost. That's how you handle getting scammed/hacked. None of this quitting cabbage. *edit* And then I apologize for misunderstanding the reasons behind you leaving the game. I didn't mean to flame you, it just bugs me when people quit, or threaten to quit, because of having lost items. Good luck in real life.
  22. I'm in agreement with Random. The only rule that I've really broken at McDonalds is going on the playground thing that they have when I'm not supposed to. I'm like 5'7 and 160lbs...
  23. I'm going to be hoping that the Seahawks win, just because it's fun to watch the under-dog beat teams that are favorites. Show all the people jumping on the bandwagon that they're idiots. That's what made the Rose Bowl so much fun to watch. Remember Vince Young owning 2 Heizman Trophy winners?
  24. Well supposedly it is blasphemous to depict Mohammed in any way, shape or form and that's why the entire Muslim world is upset.
  25. Getting scammed in such a fashion is no one fault but your own. I don't feel bad saying that either. Plain and simple, you're quitting because you made a dumb mistake and don't want to work to make your money back.
