  1. And what would you like to do about all those Israelis that you plan to kick out of Israel? The last time I checked up on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, didn't the Israelis pull out of some of the contested territory and give it to the Palestinians, only to have all the homes they left be destroyed by in coming Palestinian settlers?
  2. Yeah, it was kind of messed up what they did. Still found myself chuckling.
  3. Saddam killed thousands of innocent people for no reason. He gassed a different ethnic group. I think it was the Kurds? Something like that, anyway, it was genocide and he's facing these charges in court. Right - what's your point? He committed genocide against the Kurds and built rape rooms to throw his own people in. Were you arguing, correcting, or what? Just clarifying. I don't really want to open the whole pandora's box on the Iraq situation... It would just take way to long to type.
  4. I totally agree. Go for it. Just make sure to ask her in person. All the signs are a-go. :D Go get 'em tiger. *rarr*

  6. Sadly, that's not true in American schools. Schools are "in loco parentus" - they take the place of the parents and have authority similar to that of parents. Yeah, basically none of those rights from the ammendments are really yours until you're 18 or 21. But even then it's not always like that. Saying "but it's a free country, what about freedom of speech" etc. doesn't cut it for some things. Well I'm in high school (Senior year w00t w00t) and some of my friends are 18. You'd think that they'd be able to call themselves in sick as they are now a legally recognized adult, but no. Phone calls still go home to your parents/guardians to notify them that you missed a class.
  7. I don't think Bush went into Iraq with the sole purpose of taking over their oil fields. If there was any sort of personal motive, I believe it would be finishing the job his father didn't. I think that the oil in Iraq is a nice side-effect of the invasion. Honestly, if our only goal was oil, we would've secured the oil fields first and probably not even bothered with the cities. Our oil interests will come after we have established a stable Iraqi government that is USA friendly and willing to be generous with their liberators.
  8. I live in California and, at least in this state, a public school administrator cannot look in your backpack without a "reasonable" cause. I don't really think the teacher really cares what is actually written in the book as much as they are wanting you to stop messing around in class. The teacher is allowed to read this book even though it's the students property. It's no different than them checking that notebook for an assignment. Seriously, writing private thoughts or feelings in a book, in school, during class, is just tempting fate and you're bound to get caught and have those private thoughts and feelings exposed. Save your gossip for lunch or break.
  9. When I first saw the title, I thought it was another "I got scammed, I'm going to kill myself" thread. >_< Anyway, nice cruise! That ice sculpture thing is really sweet.
  10. Yeah, Cal rejected me. S'all good, UC San Diego took me so I'm off to study there next Fall. Majoring in International Relations and Double Minoring in Business and Poli Sci.
  11. So I'm a Senior at my High School in California and it's that wonderful time of year when colleges and universities are sending out their decisions on who they are going to accept/reject. I'm just curious as to see where people are going next year!
  12. Quite possibly one of the weirdest things I've heard in my life... It sounds like some sort of cult...
  13. Ah, the power of suggestion...
  14. UConn to win it all. Final Four: UConn Duke NC UCLA <--- gotta rep. the home state! :D
  15. Can you say "global warming"?
  16. Anything in excess can kill you. It's just a matter of a nice little term called: "moderation". Most young people in America have not been taught alcohol responsibility, thus they find it to be a rebellious act and find more fun in drinking it than if they were allowed to. You don't see this kind of rampant drinking problem in other countries such as Germany where the drinking age is lower. Plus, drinking (especially at parties) usually leads to people dieing because people hop into cars and drive off into the night. In this respect, alcohol is very bad for you and other people.
  17. Yeah, my friend has a PSP and was bragging that he got Battlefront 2 blah blah blah and couldn't wait to play it. The next day he comes back and informed us all that he lied and said it was defective and brought it back to the store because it was so terrible. Get Battlefront 2 for either PS2 or Xbox...
  18. Sooner or later, a nice person like yourself will get taken advantage of. There isn't a lot of room in the world, RS or real one, for the nice guy. Ever increasing with people blinded by greed and ambition but in order to thrive in such a place one needs to join their ranks. I'm proud to be a scum bag.
  19. I don't really think the issue of whether she can LEGALLY tell you what to do is the real issue. I think that the author is trying to get at the morality of his mother forcing religion upon him when he's not even Christian. I, personally, wouldn't ever dream of forcing my religion upon my child simply because I believe that religion is a personal choice between you and God and that if I made that decision for you, the connection wouldn't be as personal or meaningful. To threaten you with the idea of not feeding you or getting grounded for not attending her church is completely excessive and not very Christian like. Times like these require non-violent resistance techniques such as not talking for showing any signs of emotion. Or you could get in the car and "go to church" but stay in the car. I don't know, push the issue and try things out and see what works.
  20. Yeah, Yu-Gi-Oh does teach KIDS the nice life lessons regarding friendship, never giving up, and believing in yourself blah blah blah. I don't think they put this show on the air to entertain people older than 10. I find it really funny that when they get attacked "directly" and lose life points, they actually flynch and feel pain. It's a HOLOGRAM! How can it hurt you in any way? I agree with whoever said that Pokemon > Yu-Gi-Oh...

Z28 > Mustang GT both in looks and in hp.
  22. I don't want to hear any sort of whining from F2Pers about not having anything to do in F2P until every single stat is 99 and all that you have left to raise are member skills.
  23. I guess you have no idea how useless fatigue was in stopping macroers so I can't get too angry at you. Random word and number mix won't do anything. There's already a program out, won't name it, that dealt with fatigue. Again, it only punishes legit. players more than autoers. As to this whole bank pin thing, the fatigue program would be just as effective against this new bank pin idea. A person could sit at their computer for 5 minutes and input their bank pin 100,000 times into the program then leave.
  24. Anthropology Teacher is really good, the material is engaging and I actually learn something!
