You're right about the bonuses, at least most of them. 1) They do pay for college. 2) They pay you well for enlisting. However, you have to remember that you have to survive Iraq in order to collect on those rewards. Remember we are at war right now, with no real end in sight. You will be shipped to Iraq or Afghanistan, guaranteed and put on the front line since you're joining the Army. I suggest the Air Force or Navy.

I agree with the original poster that it's hard to think about the vastness of the universe with Earth being the only planet with life on it. It's already been proven that there is other life out there, but in the form of one celled bacteria. I think that if there are more advanced beings out there, I'm sure that they're smart enough to avoid us and leave us alone to destroy ourselves.

Super Mario Brothers! Best game ever made, man... I still have my SNES and Super Mario Brothers. That game was the most fun I've ever had on any console. Even more so than the later GTA games. Mario pwns everyone. -

It didn't say that he was hearing voices... The only thing that came close was when he ran to his friend's house and claimed that "intruders" made him do it... That doesn't really mean he's "seeing people", it's that he didn't want to take the rap for that. He's not crazy, he's just upset with his poor family. Such crap when people try and pull the "I'm crazy" defense. There are no signs that this kid had any sort of mental disability. perhaps it didn't say it because they dont know it? according to the information supplied in that article he shows symptons of it. no signs of mental disability? he just killed his family and he writes his plan's about killing in his book! no offense or anything but that guy clearly is a scyzo(sp?) and he didn't say he was crazy anywhere. What kind of symptoms? Symptoms of schizophrenia include warped perceptions of reality, delusions, hallucinations, and disorganized thinking. Sure, if he has those, doesn't mean he's planning to kill his family because he wants richer parents. That's his whole motive and schizophrenia is not an excuse for that. Granted, this kid has anger problems, probably something to do with being poor. I can't blame the kid for wanting to be wealthier, but not to the extent where you plan to murder your family and put yourself up for adoption so you can get rich parents. A diagnosable mental-illness is the only way this kid would get off going to jail. Doesn't seem to me that this kid can make that case. It was clearly pre-meditated.

Great idea, so we inconvenience ourselves to stop autoers? Wait, let's stop everything we're doing and make a wall to block the autoers from working effectively! Riiiiight...

...insane? You're letting this kid get the insanity defense??? This was a pre-meditated murder! He had it all planned out, he executed it and then when he was about to get busted for it he runs to his friends house and denies it. That's someone who knows what they're doing. It would be insane if he did it then ran around naked admitting what he did and turned himself in. Insane my backside... He knew exactly what he was doing and should get 25 to life. Jeez... that's really sick. Kill your family so you can get adopted by a rich couple? I ask you...

You'd think that, but then you have to see it from a bot creator's perspective. Why do the main people behind runescape cheating create bots in the first place? To get 1337 stats? Hardly. To make real life money? Possibly. But ask most of the big shots and they'll tell you for the challenge and to advance their Java skills. Runescape really is a gold mine to test your knowledge of this ever-growing in importance language. One of the reasons Kaitnieks sold [ForbiddenSite] was that he had achieved all he could in cheating terms in Runescape 1, thus he sold it, because there wasn't a challenge. As strange as it may sound, it could be that the only way to stop autoers might be to stop making random events. When RSC was discontinued after the release of RS2, many important people in the Runescape cheating community ceased work on RSC bots as there were no longer any updates to challenge them. Work into RS2 cheating began long before RSC became P2P only. Had it not, the influx of RS2 bots that is now among us would be months away yet. Finally someone who knows something about the cheating community... I completely agree with what Bubsa said. Couldn't have said it better myself. I just want to add that the cheating community isn't going anywhere. Because of RS2 and the attraction of lots of new players, although Kaitnieks, xx Jut xx and all those legendary cheaters are gone, there are plenty (some would argue more than before) players that are willing to cheat and will work on these programs. And I've heard that Kaitnieks is still some-what active updating SCAR?

Market Stalls -- Player-Owned Shops
Zerocool11 replied to Buddy_Foote's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
Yeah, actually the option of picking what kind of stall you wanted to open would work better. And then when people entered the market they'd choose what they were looking for. -
The pic is a little dark...

Market Stalls -- Player-Owned Shops
Zerocool11 replied to Buddy_Foote's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
Pretty good idea. Make a Wal-Mart of sorts on RS? lol A way to reduce the crowding that would undoubtedly occur would be to organize the shops by what they're selling, much like forums do. -
lol sorry man... read the sig. i'm done with rs
-
lol... My personal favorite has always been Fishing.

lol Yes, they are definitely quiter and makes doing things nicer I bet. Maybe they're not such a bad thing after all? But in all seriousness, there are like 3 or 4 threads about this in the Rant section of the forum...

heehee, I've kind of thought about doing that when I graduate. Major in business and whatever and work for McDonald's. Be a corporate officer with a nice business suit and when I hear people talking smack about McDonald's I'd be all: "I work for McDonald's and make $100,000 a year. Got a problem?"

My friend, a long time ago, when he first got 85 mining had a real hard time getting rune ores. And this was back on RSC when there weren't so many players. Now, there are more people in Wildy and more rune miners so competition is stiff. If your smithing is fairly high too, I'd focus on mining addy until you reach a higher mining level and make addy stuff. Realistically, you shouldn't start mining rune until 90. Just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should. *edit* Good luck on your goal, too, btw. :D

HEY! I work at mcdonalds.... I think he means working at McDonald's when they're in their 30s :P What if they're a high ranking member working for the McDonald's corporation making a 6 figure salary? Hmmmm??? He's "working at McDonald's". (I know I'm splitting hairs...)

Does Strength REALLY help your woodcutting?
Zerocool11 replied to Foodfight13's topic in General Discussion
Yeah... I don't think anyone has thought, for longer than a second, that Strength affected your Woodcutting abilities... Common sense, if one were dependent on the other, would there be two different skills? -
Did you ever play RSC for more than an hour? So does that make you an autoer with a slow comp?
