deangut
I just got a new PC from Dell and this is what I got 512MB RAM and an on board video Intel Xtreme graphix (think its 64MB) When I am playing the game I note that memory goes from 230 to about 45o to 520 (almost paging) My processor is norm at 80 to 95% (3 GHZ) What do you think would help out more for the performance of the game. I know this game isn't intense on graphics, but any insight on this is appreciated.. I also just upgraded to newest release of JRE (Java platform) thanx @ - Come Join SoDB in Some GWD and other Slaying! - @

Nadril
RAM. Your video card, realy, has nothing much to do at all with a little Java game. But if you play other graphical intense games, i'd get a video card as well. but, get another 512mb of ram, and if you have some cash left over you can : A. Get a Nvida FX 5500 (like $50 or so) B. Get a Nvida 6600GT (around $150.) and, http://www.newegg.com
toastedspleen
A new video card won't help out Runescape, since it is 100% software rendering, nothing is rendered by the video card except the final blit to the screen. I'm really surprised that Runescape uses that much memory. I'll have to check what my PC uses.
deangut
Let me know if it uses that much of your CPU . I always seem to note it 80-100% when running rs2 on high res. I am not sure if I can fix this with a setting on my PC or not Again I have the norm install for the new JRE platform (might be a setting in there) ne help would be great @ - Come Join SoDB in Some GWD and other Slaying! - @
