Toby1knoby20
I'm looking to level my Smithing from 65-70 over the Bxpw. If I were to smelt gold with Goldsmithing Gauntlets, how much bonus xp would I get from doing it over the weekend?
Sy_Accursed
Goldsmith gauntlets won't apply. No xp boosters do.Essentially smithing on bxpw by and large = aweful idea. Goldsmith gauntlets don;t work meaning even at 2.4 multiplier and lower you are actually getting worse xp than normal.SC hammers don't work so regular smithing is lame.Smelting is sloooooooowwwwww xp so tht blows. Artisan's workshop might be nice xp for the weekend, I guess. But yeah remember the golden rule of bxpw ANYTHING that normally boosts xp is turned off, so a lot of training methods/entire skills become pointless to do.Plus anything that requires competing for resources blows as it'll be overcrowded. So I take it that Smithing isn't worth the time on Bxpw. Would construction or crafting be worth it?
Sy_Accursed
Crafting can be, depends on method and whether you usually us sc needles.Construction is definitely worthwhile as the only xp booster for it is small enough tht until ~1.2x you are doing more xp than it allows and in terms of efficiency the suit takes too long to get so even 1.1x used on con is a good move. Quyneax
Actually, adamant platebodies are rather good on the xp weekend. They are not best done with sc hammers. If you compare adamant plates with and without sc hammers you see it's 215k xp/hr and 4 gp/xp with no hammers versus 180k xp/hr and 2 gp/xp. So you pay 500k/hr to save around 12 minutes/hr (2.5m/hr for break-even which is most bossing, not to mention that bossing brings in effigies). That's at 12 minutes per sc tool, which requires sub 14 minute 23 point games or sub 15 minute 24 point games.
