Hey, sorry if this isn't the right place to put this, but I checked the Magic Guide section and it says that Superheat Spell gives 53xp per spell.

I was just using it and it actually gives 65.5xp Per Spell. It might have recently changed, but I'm not sure since this is the first time that I've actually used Superheat Spell in a while.

Now onto your statement, I assume you were superheating iron ore? And you used your XP counter to tell you how much exp you were getting?

 

The Superheat spell gives you 53xp in magic as well as the appropriate xp in smithing for the bar you made. So if you are superheating iron you will get 53 magic xp and 12.5 smithing xp per cast. That gives you the 65.5 xp total that your tracker was telling you (it only shows xp per action, it doesn't differentiate between which skill it was in).

OrTradeMe appears to have been correct.

 

When I superheat an iron ore I receive 53 Magic XP and 12.5 Smithing XP.

 

When I superheat any other item I receive 53 Magic XP and then whatever Smithing XP based on the item being superheated.
