Are there any practical uses for either of these items? Just looking to clear random items from my bank.

Not that I'm aware of, they are pretty much out dated

 

Personally I keep my crystal bow for cosmetics, though

They're pretty much cosmetic nowadays.

Wear them down and get a free 150k? seed.

Cshield is pretty good for ZMI if you find yourself in need of defense, since it's virtually weightless. But that's shouldn't be a problem unless you're like level 70 combat

Considering their stats are terrible in their late forms before dying, I don't think either are worth it even at cheapest recharge. Zaaps mentions the shield's low weight, but that shouldn't be an issue if you have a good def level and use the zmi world.

I read somewhere that Jagex is looking to update it, so it might be worth stacking the seeds in your bank. I

 

t was a good bow, but that was before they buffed the crossbows and added Ava collector to reduce cost/shot or annoyance of picking up arrows. Considering though you can keep it at 10/10 for all its shots/deflections using the degrading trick, it still is a powerful bow and shield.

It just seems rather costly to maintain.

 

A blessed spirit shield now costs under 1 million and gives constant stats that are, aside from ranged defence, are comparable to the crystal shield.

 

However if there is an update I might hang on to it and I guess it does look rather cool.

Well yeah but you'd use the trick to keep your main shield/bow at perfect stats forever, so degrading stats isn't a problem.
