87 - 95 magic

Featured Replies

So I wish to get 95 magic to kill glacors, as it sounds like the best source of money I will realistically achieve in any decent amount of time. Until that point though, I am unfortunately broke. My question is if alching is the best option for me to get 95 magic, or if there is some other spell that would get it faster, while still not costing me a fortune. I value my time at roughly 700k an hour killing dragons, though honestly dead sick of doing that as well, thus why I'im trying to get to glacors.

I am pretty sure Plank Make on mahogany logs is good xp, decently fast, and very cheap. If I did the math right, it's about 0.2 gp/xp.

If you're sick of dragons, infernal ashes are a little less right now (about 3.3k I think) but still good money. If you kill abyssals, there's also a chance for a whip drop (which I'm aware isn't much nowadays but it's better than nothing). Personally, I'm working towards it.

I'm aware nothing I said had anything to do with magic, I was only addressing that he said he was sick of dragons.

I'll look into plank make, sounds great how you say it ^^ I've killed my fair share of abyssal demons, and they do provide pretty decent money, dragons seem to be more though. Also, before anyone can say slay to train mage, no thank you. Have been slaying with melee since 50 combat, just want to get the magic quickly.

you should ice burst rock lobsters. you will get tons of charms for summoning. I've bursted rock lobs from 84-99 mage and it got me charms for 88-99 summon. you can probably get up to 90 summoning if you burst. ;)

My immediate thought is "I wish I could afford that" but perhaps I'm wrong, about how much would that cost per hour as well as an average exp per hour I could expect? Also do I need a second person to get to the rock lobsters?

Jeit_Thorne.png

use 'Bursting Lobs' fc. and use battle robes to half the cost, with sol ofc, also if possible tome of frost and arcane steam neck. :)

Would you consider it worth doing without the battle robes? I have absolutely no interest in FoG, and am pretty terrible at it to boot.

Few things about Rock Lobs:

Magic Damge boost only affects the primary monster you are targeting. This means that the arcane stream is possibly going to be a detriment, as they will die at a different rate, and therefore some of the monsters might respawn and attack you before you're done the group you're killing.

FoG really seems worth it, at least in terms of efficiency. If you are terrible at FoG, I suggest playing FoG in F2P in green d'hide, maple bow and addy arrows. Last I checked, you rarely lost in F2P because over half the people there are low level mages in it for free mage exp and F2P players tend to be lower level then P2P players. (Keep in mind this information is very dated and I don't know if it's still accurate.)

Also, I like FoG because it's an excuse to use ancient (read: ice) magic for free. This is just me of course.

Squab unleashes Megiddo! Completed all quests and hard diaries. 75+ Skiller. (At one point.) 2000+ total. 99 Magic.

my difinition of noob is i dont like u, either u are better then me or u are worst them me

Buying spins make you a bad person...don't do it. It's like buying nukes for North Korea.

Well if it bothers you that the game is more fun now, then you can go cry in a corner. :shame:

your article was the equivalent of a circumcized porcupine

The only thing wrong with it is the lack of a percentage for when you need to stroke it.

Poignant Purple to Lokie's Ravishing Red and Alg's Brilliant Blue.

Arcane stream necklace is nice for finishing off that last lobster who took a level in tank. Probably worth bringing.

Battle robes are worth it at current rune prices I'm pretty sure, tome of frost isn't unless you have loads of spare tokens (it's worse to get than repairing chaotics).

I'll give FoG in f2p a try when I get to bored doing plank make to continue for a while. I plan on getting arcane stream before glacors, sooner rather then later doesn't particularly matter to me, I do not plan on getting tome of frost though. I tolerate dung when I have to, for example when I got my rapier and when ill be getting the necklace.....and likely scroll of life eventually, but that's likely it until I'm trying for max cape.
