qw23e
Well I've finally got an ok cash pile and decided I'd like to try soloing rex. The problem is I don't know what setup or inventory to use. Sadly I don't have overloads, soul split, or high summoning (only 60 summoning), so those are out of the question. I got 10m to spare on equipment. Can anyone help me out? I was thinking of either using guthans or veracs but I haven't been able to find a lot of suitable guides or advice. Thanks in advance! Stat's are in my sig! Lord Paul
I suggest you start here. Welcome to the forums! Edit: Good grief, I got ninja'd by someone who just joined. =D> Welcome to you too. Aiel
that guide is a little outdated. you're going to want verac's (and a soul wars cape if you have it, ardy 3 if not) and prayer renewals+pray mage, and a stole as you don't have an ASN, and a Blessed spirit shield. Use polypore. with this setup youll need a few prayer potions but not many. Use eee>sgs>ee>ancient mace for healing, and bring brews for emergencies. Im not sure if terrorbird>no familiar as it'd basically be filled with more pouches, but maybe. I'd focus on a more charm/effigy heavy training/money making method at your levels though. DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers ringsQBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow partsCR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size....It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty). qw23e
Thanks for all the advice. Aiel, what would you suggest then? Cause I thought that was the case cause that guide did seem outdated, so what should I train/make money on?
Lord Paul
Killing green dragons is good money in addition to farming herbs, MTK, and buying various "dailies" like battlestaves and broad arrow heads. Artemis1330
I would highly recommend you do not dk. Yes it is fun, and is profitable (but no where near good), but at this point it is stupid to go to dks without a yak. I have no idea why people do it. I even said it when axes were still 2m+. The bones and hides dropped add up to 15k per kill. Dragon axe is 800k and will only drop further, warrior 180k, and berserker at least is still nearly 3m. Hides and bones alone in good gear tribridding on a 1500 population world nets about 3.3m per hour. I am not sure how many rex can be soloed per hour, as I rarely ever solo maged. But at just 70 kills an hour thats over 1m, just from hides/bones. You definitely won't be getting one zerker/axe an hour. Just something to consider. Otherwise you'll be sitting there hoping for a zerker ring drop to cover expenses/give you profit. In my opinion it's pretty silly to dk without a yak. 96 sum is not the easiest level in the world, but absolutely worth getting if you are going to dk or do any pvm for a length of time. I am not a skiller, but i do some skills.
qw23e
Ok thanks guys! What are dailies? I've never heard of them before...
Lord Paul
Dailies are just buying various items from a shop and reselling on GE for a profit. You can look here for a very in depth guide or here for a more condensed calculator that is auto-updated based on GE prices.
