favour points

I have used the curly vines to level firemaking, and now I have a jadinko task. I have never done that minigame hunter thing that gets you juju potions, but I want to start to do this soon after BXPW, as hunter is one of my lowest skills. Can someone explain how to use those favour points to get seeds that are good, and I have read the guides and Herblore habittat still doesnt make any sense. Can someone explain it to someone who knows nothing about it?

When I first started doing herblore habitat I had no idea what to do either. It took me quite a while reading through different guides to finally get an understanding of it.

I did red salamanders to 80 hunter then started hunting jadinkos.

Basically what you want to do is build the right habitat, bush, tree, and flower to attract certain jadinkos.

For example if you want to start hunting common jadinkos (70 hunter), you should plant a green flower by using a green blossom seed on the patch, you will then spawn them in the northern area. Use marasamaw traps (trade Papa mambo to buy them) to start hunting them.

Check out this guide if you want, I found it helped me.

I hope this helped you a tiny bit, I don't know enough to tell you with my own words (or remember!). :P

"Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory. I shall live and die at my post. I am the sword in the darkness. I am the watcher on the walls. I am the shield that guards the realms of men. I pledge my life and honor to the Night's Watch, for this night and all the nights to come."

I believe the seeds you receive from favour points are all random, but once you start hunting the jadinkos you will receive better ones.

No.

When trading in for favour points for seeds it checks which jadinkos are attracted in the herblore habitat.

If there are none you get vine flower seeds.

If there are some you get the seeds they drop.

So having common, shadow, diseased or camoflauged present means you can get vine flowers, fruit tree (apple, banana, orange only), vine bushes or vine herbs.

Igneous or Cannibal produce only bush seeds

Aquatic only flower seeds

Amphibious only fruit tree seeds

Carrion and draconic only herb seeds

Using striped vine from camoflauged jadinkos you can pay Papa Mambo to ward off a jadinko type for 15minutes; by using this to scare off commons (as any flower at all attracts them) you can get jadinkos alone.

Generally people plant kalferberry, green flowers and build boneyard to attract carrion (herb only) and pay Papa mambo to ward off the commons that way you can trade in for 100% herb seeds.

None of what I said made any sense? Did you check the link I posted. There's a lot to read but it spells it all out.

Not sure how it can be explained any easier.

Tried searching for videos on how to do it on Youtube?

If you read the link that Jeremy gave you should pick up enough to know the basic terms which I used in my post. It is a more advanced point about the mechanic used when retrieving favour for seeds, but it was only using the basic terms that you *should* be able to follow from even skimming a basic guide on the herblore habitat.

But to cover it as best I can:

Common, Shadow, Diseased, Camouflaged, Aquatic, Amphibious, Carrion and Draconic are the specific species of Jadinkos.

Jadinkos are attracted to the hunting area by specific combinations planted in 3 farming plots and a building plot in the area.

Vine flower, fruit tree and vine bush are the farming plots.

Boneyard is one of the build plot items.

There is also vine herb plots used for the un-tradable vine herbs which make the useful juju potions.

All jadinkos drop a specific vine when caught, camouflaged drops Striped Vine, which is used to pay Papa Mambo, an npc in the area, to scare away a jadinko type of your choice for 15 minutes.

For rigging the seeds it doesn't matter if you can catch them or not, however you do need stripey vines from camouflaged jads (lvl 79) to pay to scare of commons for rigging the seeds to work.

At lvl 72 it'd be tricky to get the vine required, Oo'glog mud bath would boost you to 79 but that would leave you a small window to get back to the habitat and capture one. Not impossible but tricky. Getting lvl 73 would much it much easier to achieve as you would be boosting to 80 giving you more time to get it caught.
