Arceus
Does the report abuse really only send the last 60 seconds of chat, or does it send a record of whatever conversation regarding you and the offender that remains in the chat log at that point? Similarly, will no chat be sent if the offending chat is wiped out of the chat log by spam fast enough? There seems to be evidence that it keeps more than 60 seconds of chat, which I can't really share. I am also disregarding any messages along the lines of "This player hasn't chatted recently" since not all rules feature this restriction. "Fight for what you believe in, and believe in what you're fighting for." Can games be art? --- My blog here if you want to check out my Times articles and other writings! Ren
I'd agree with you on this, pretty simple to see that they do use more than 60 seconds of evidence. I just think that that was a feature to prevent people from abusing the hell out of the report system/causing a lot more work for Jagex. Not sure which if not both. And yeah, definitely depends on the rule. They probably go back a bit and more if they can on certain rules.
Baffler
I've thought the same thing as you Arceus. If I recall correctly, I've seen a Jmod say that it sometimes does go back more than 60 seconds, but that was a while ago and only from memory.
