Im planning on getting 99 mage (currently 95) and i was going to do it through the Supermake glass spell since i cant afford to do it through String Jewelry and i dont have the coordination or patience for Plank Make.

 

My main question is, it says that it takes 1 set of runes for every inventory...so if i need 46,637 casts to 99, how many runes + BoS + Seaweed would i need?

 

I've already tried to do the math myself but since math is not a strong point for me all my number's came out messed up.

93,274 Astrals

279,822 Fires

466,370 Airs

You would obviously replace one of the elemental runes with a staff.

606,281 Soda ash/Uncooked seaweed/Swampweed

Yikes a lot more than i expected.

You should still give String Jewellery a go, it may save you money compared to Make glass (Not too sure on price for runes for Glass make + money from molten glass compared to cost of string jewllery)

Besides, string jewellery is a bit afk too, one click per inventory...

Also, do remember you can sell amulets to the Rouge in Varrock (After completing Summer's end and rescuing him from the Rouge's castle in the wilderness).

 

You could look into something different, for example, if you can mine Conc. gold veins in LRC, then you can superheat the gold ore into bars. that way you train Magic, Mining and Smithing at once.

I assumed it would be profit, but I guess it isn't.

It would be better to only use one bucket of sand and one seaweed per cast, so...

Molten glass: 791(-25)

Bucket of sand: 245(+1)

Seaweed: 644(+14)

Swamp weed: 331(+0)

Soda ash: 709(+0)

 

Obviously you would make a profit with Swampweed, but I doubt there is a sufficient supply going around.

I thought it was going to cost more than it is. I have 23m right now and it will cost me 19.6m from 95 to 99.

Why not kill rocklobs for charms or glacors for cash to get 99?

I can't afford to do rock lobs, i dont have the money for it and i haven't done the quest for Glacors yet and highly doubt i can kill them seeing as how i can barely kill 1 TD without having to restock.
