I was wondering what were the specs i should get to atleast run rs without lagging, at low or medium graphic settings thanks If you're buying this mostly for Runescape, I'd advise you against spending your money for that(unless your old computer has *really* low specs in which case you would have problems with almost all programmes, not just Runescape) There are currently a lot of technical problems regarding the frame rate and even people with high-end computers are not immune to these. Having a better computer does not guarantee you'll get more FPS. It's possible of course, but there's a lot of chance involved here.
Randox
Yeah, right now its almost impossible to say with any certainty what builds will actually work, until Jagex sorts out their many many issues and the game performance goes back to being roughly based on the quality of your hardware. The best you can hope for is that someone has a laptop that plays the game well, and they can give you its build.

I don't even know if there would still be laptops with such low specs for sale when it comes to RAM and HDD. Anyway, Minimum 4GB RAM is the norm these days. mann90
would this be a ok computer to play rs with,it looks not bad Dell Inspiron I620-798BK CR's Take This very good performer is reasonably priced and has some great features, like a large, fast hard drive and plenty of memory. Highs Among the fastest models we've tested Large 1TB hard drive Has a fast 7200RPM hard drive Has fast 802.11n Wi-Fi he Dell Inspiron I620-798BK is a full-sized desktop computer. It has 6GB of memory and a 1TB hard drive. It has an Intel Core i3-2120 3.3GHz processor and Intel HD Graphics 2000 video adapter but no dedicated video memory, so it's not well suited for high-performance video gaming. It comes with Windows 7 Home Premium pre-installed. The Inspiron I620-798BK has a built-in memory card reader for digital photography, and 6 free USB ports. Z_Berenice
What's your budget? I got my fiancee an Asus X53SC, and actually tested runescape on max details (AA 4x + bloom on OpenGL) on it, and it ran at decent fps. Most places should stay over 35 fps on fixed and over 25 fps on full screen, and that's with entertaiment mode, it's better on high performance mode but I can't recall the exact numbers right now, but they were decent (anything over 24 fps you can't notice the difference). It never went under 15 fps, even on worst case scenario places (such as w2 ge, w117 dh, etc...). It costed around 800 dollars, the one I got her came with an i5 (more than ram, you actually need a decent processor for rs), 4gb ram (up to 8 upgradable), 750 GB HD, NVIDIA GeForce GT 520MX (dedicated 1gb), etc... I can tell you from self xp that Asus makes great laptops, even though they are a relatively new brand. Here's a link with the basics for that design:http://in.asus.com/Notebooks/Versatile_Performance/X53SC/#overview Edit: with new fps fix, it rarely ever gets under 40 fps, unless you're on a crowed place. It seems like the worst case scenario fps now is 25, which still goes unnoticeable. That's all on max settings + AA 4x + Bloom on OpenGL and on fullscreen, on fixed it basically stays 50 fps. Sbrideau
Asus isn't really a relatively new brand, they've been making stuff since 1989. They're mainly known for the motherboards though.
