What should I train ranged on?

Hello all, I'm trying to get level 70 ranged and I don't know what's best. I need some help, should I train on bandits or moss giants? Chinchompas or iron knives? What gear should I use? The ranged skill has always been a struggle for me. My stats are:

73 constitution

75 attack

70 strength

54 ranged

72 defence

43 prayer

and 1 summoning (Lolololololol)

combat level: 90

Whatever you do, don't chin bandits or moss giants!

 

The fastest way would be chinning monkey skeletons in void deflector - if you can get eagle eye, that'd help too.

If you want to make a bit of money, use a crossbow with strong bolts & cannon on some kind of dragon and bank hides&bones.

 

For ranged, there are only a few factors that affect your damage output:

Your level (including potions),

The prayer you're using (5-20%),

Whether you have a void set equipped or not (void set is twice 10% boost to damage) and

The ammo you are using (ranged strength) - only ammo has a ranged strength value at all.

Total ranged attack bonus matters a little bit as well.

 

Basically, try to get these as high as possible, the highest priority equipment-wise is void.

if you want rather fast training when i was at you lvls i used mith darts on yaks [assuming you can fin a bot free world]

 

just a small suggestion,

 

i wouldn't recommend chinning apes until 70 ranged

 

and like Quyneax said i would use crossbow/good bolts on drag's and bank the drops for money if you want to make a bit of profit at 63 ranged for rune crossbow
