July 3, 201214 yr You have to right-click the staff and select the "set spell" option, then choose a spell from the menu that appears.Once you do this the staff can absorb the spell you set it to, and you can also rightclick the staff again and select the new "charge spell" option. As the size of an explosion increases, the number of social situations it is incapabale of solving approaches zero. Ensure you are not a social situation.

July 5, 201214 yr The problem with having it absorb spells in fist of guthix is that you need to wield it to absorb spells, and when you are wielding it you are not collecting charge.Also, because of the time it would take due to people using different spells and the fact that the staff doesn't absorb 100% of the spells cast at it, you would be better off utilizing the time spent to make money and buy the runes for charging the staff yourself. I'm not sure if absorbing the spell cancels the damage/effects, but it makes sense that it wouldn't. As the size of an explosion increases, the number of social situations it is incapabale of solving approaches zero. Ensure you are not a social situation.
