I am wondering if there's stuff I should try to do quick before EoC launches. I have 95 prayer already, even though it seems to suck in beta.

 

My current thoughts are

 

Do dominion tower with claws to get the 450-500 kills (even if the rewards suck, using claw specs is pretty fast and the special attacks are going away)

 

do fight caves (protection prayer is being reduced to 50%, and they said they are going to overhaul boss battles)

 

should I also shoot for finishing fight kiln? I don't know if I can, but if it's suggested to go for it I will look up guides and stuff and do my best.

 

Is there other stuff?

 

I am planning to start doing dg for 85 at least for frost dragons and chaotic weapons. Does it suck in beta? I am going to start when the solo thing launches on monday/tuesday.

 

Long term goals for me are max combat level and finish all the achievement diaries (I have seers and falador done, the rest are done except for the elite tasks I don't have levels for.)

Dom Tower + Fight Caves + Kiln are all good things to get done before EoC, although I hear that certain abilities do make Jad a piece of cake, so I'm not too sure.

I'd try get your dg up before beta though for sure.

Prayer and potions are getting buffed to make them better than they currently are in beta.

Gloves are going to be lvl 80 with a passive ability, probably making them better than Nex gloves

 

do fight caves (protection prayer is being reduced to 50%, and they said they are going to overhaul boss battles)

In Fight Caves, prayer swapping is vital. Prayers protect 100% against Jad. I honestly do not know if that applies to the entire cave though. Still shouldn't be an issue

They are supposed to be doing a final sweep of bosses and such to make them more difficult than they are, as too many of them are relatively easy. I suspect the Kiln will still maintain it's relative difficulty

Dungeoneering has a less strict policy when it comes to weaknesses. Add into that the new bind system, and I suppect it won't be too bad. Chaotics are still end game until they start rolling out those lvl 85 items.

Everyone is acting like everything will be drastically harder when in fact it will be the opposite. Even with a 50% prayer block reduction, by using the various healing and defensive abilities, you should be able to negate most damage or heal any damage lost when doing the Fight Caves, Kiln, or Dominion Tower.

So many people are over reacting...

 

I tried killing mith dragons on eoc, with only 87 range, I was hitting over 7000s every time I used an ultimate ability. If you haven't tried ranging in Eoc, adrenaline builds quickly. I was using a crystal bow, so I'd imagine you could build adrenaline even faster with a shield and cross bow...
