Post EOC, Rapier or CLS?

Featured Replies

I'm about to get my first chaotic on my alt account and am wondering if rapier is still better than a cls or has that changed with the EOC?

They're both the same stat-wise, it just depends on your opponents weakness. Use cls on slash-weak monsters, rapier on stab-weak.

I'd buy maul as a first chaotic (since its effectively a MH+OH weapon for just 200k tokens), and buy ZS and Vine whip+eee to cover stab/slash in the meantime until your next chaotic

Oct covered it all pretty well.

I'd even add that it is probably better to hold off on cls and rapier and make your second chaotic a combined 300k token purchase of dual ccb and also I believe there is some debate that suggests vine whip + eee > cls + cls/cls + eee so I'd push cls to the back of the buying rota.
