Most creatures are weak to slash, but a vine whip or even a whip should be good along with eee. So picking rapier for those weak to stab would be ok if you don't have a stab weapon.

On numerics vine whip + eee is actually better than 2* CLS for dps.

But yeah in terms of 1h weps

Stab - Rapier

Slash - CLS

Crush - Dragon Mace (any higher it's all 2h)
