Hati Paws

Well with the renewed chance to go kill Hati, I thought it would be a great time to get some combat xp.

 

Unfortunately the gloves do not have any charge. Is this as intended because I did use the paws last year.

 

I have killed Hait and Skoll this year. Skoll dropped the boots (fully charged) and the amulet. Hati on the other hand did not drop anything and only upon talking to the person south of Rellekka did I receive the head, cape and paws (with no charge).

 

Since then I have been unable to get a charge on the gloves. ?? Was this intended?

The paws/boots aren't guaranteed every kill. Try destroying the paws you got (with no charge) and kill Hati again and see if he drops them.

I think you might need to be having the Hati paws before you kill him. By speaking to the person you reclaimed you last year's paws and now you may recharge them.

And sometimes it might not work the first time. E.g I didn't get the boots and amulet drop from Sköll first time although I did everything.

Nah, that isn't necessary. I didn't have Hati paws or Sköll boots before killing them, yet they both dropped said items fully charged.
