Dreezer
Hi guys, so i recently started The brink of extinction but somehow i can't even get past the third room (the first one with the glowing lava tiles), i barely make it past the melee opponents and when they are dead, the rangers and mage kill me in no time at all. i'm using ganodermic for maging (water wave on the meleers)bandos + whip + dfs for the rangersqueen black dragonhide + magic short (rune arrows) for the mage my stats:str: 99hp: 94atk: 91def: 90range: 85magic: 81pray: 80 I don't know what i'm doing wrong but i just can't hit the opponents, my spells splash constantly (okay, my magic isn't that high but they are supposed to be weak against water spells...), and the rangers seem to have supernatural defence against my slash attacks (which they should be weak to) and yes, i do avoid the glowing lava tiles Sacrificing efficiency for fun since 1991
Quyneax
I would suggest upgrading to Ice Blitz. It's much stronger than water wave, and only requires 82 magic (use a potion). Also, make sure you are using a high-level staff, ideally chaotic but at least polypore. For rangers, try getting a godsword. For the mages, you are using an incredibly low tier weapon. Try upgrading to at least a crystal bow, ideally royal crossbow (zaryte if you feel like it). Recently, armour/accuracy got changed. Items are now statted according to an exponential formula. That means every level higher means 5% higher stats (approx). Your magic shortbow is 20 or 30 levels below what you should be using, making its hit bonus 3-4 times lower than it should be. Also, don't use a shield. Stick to two-handed weapons to dish out the real damage.
