Tim
Currently these are my skills, and at 16m cash, it makes it a "bit" hard to buy ovl and soul split etc. So I'm asking, what would I need to kill Glacors, and if they're both doable (eoc and all that) and profitable over time. Elsewise, what else could I do? kinda sick of being near max cb and being piss-broke, unable to join boss teams due to todays requirements. Also, I only have 15k tokens as when I got hacked a few months back they spent all them on either exp and a nature staff, so chances are chaotics won't happen. EDIT: also I have 5m sitting in MTK, dunno if that'll help. Popoto.~<
Sufem
Maybe you could get 95 slayer and go kill some ganodermic beasts, they are afkable and still give hefty profit. "Mieć milion i nie mieć miliona to razem dwa miliony" A. Sapkowski
Quyneax
Yes you can do glacors for money. I'm not sure if magic or ranged is faster now, I'd just try magic. Use a high-tier magic weapon (Armadyl battlestaff is good). You need to get one chaotic still, for Bandos god wars and generally all melee, which is the maul. For ranged, royal crossbow, for magic, ABS. What also helps is getting a higher summoning level and dumping your elite diary xp into that as well. I would discourage thinking of yourself as 'near maxed combat'. Maxed combat primarily is: steel titan, overloads, turmoil, all equipment/abilities available, basic equipment (Barrows, maul, rxb, pps/abs) and the relevant quests done. Secondary are: untradeable equipment (goliaths, imbued rings, void, Ports armour etc.), 99s, high-tier buyable equipment (glacor boots, Zaryte bow, spirit shields etc.). You lack four of the important, primary indicators of max combat. That is not a criticsm of you or your account, but an explanation of what, in terms of kill speed and performance, is important in combat, taking "max combat = max kill speed" as baseline. 2 Supporter of Zaros | Quest Cape owner since 22 may 2010 | No skills below 99 | Total level 2595 | Completionist Cape owner since 17th June 2013 | Suggestions 99 summoning (18th June 2011, previously untrimmed) | 99 farming (14th July 2011) | 99 prayer (8th September 2011) | 99 constitution (10th September 2011) | 99 dungeoneering (15th November 2011) 99 ranged (28th November 2011) | 99 attack, 99 defence, 99 strength (11th December 2011) | 99 slayer (18th December 2011) | 99 magic (22nd December 2011) | 99 construction (16th March 2012) 99 herblore (22nd March 2012) | 99 firemaking (26th March 2012) | 99 cooking (2nd July 2012) | 99 runecrafting (12th March 2012) | 99 crafting (26th August 2012) | 99 agility (19th November 2012) 99 woodcutting (22nd November 2012) | 99 fletching (31st December 2012) | 99 thieving (3rd January 2013) | 99 hunter (11th January 2013) | 99 mining (21st January 2013) | 99 fishing (21st January 2013) 99 smithing (21st January 2013) | 120 dungeoneering (17th June 2013) | 99 divination (24th November 2013) Tormented demon drops: twenty effigies, nine pairs of claws, two dragon armour slices and one elite clue | Dagannoth king drops: two dragon hatchets, two elite clues, one archer ring and one warrior ring Glacor drops: four pairs of ragefire boots, one pair of steadfast boots, six effigies, two hundred lots of Armadyl shards, three elite clues | Nex split: Torva boots | Kalphite King split: off-hand drygore mace 30/30 Shattered Heart statues completed | 16/16 Court Cases completed | 25/25 Choc Chimp Ices delivered | 500/500 Vyrewatch burned | 584/584 tasks completed | 4000/4000 chompies hunted
Ginger_Warrior
I haven't much quantitative information to share other than to say that I don't have soul split or overloads/extremes, but I've been going to glacors in Ganos and CStaff and quite easily making a profit. Not a huge one, but it does profit. Instead of taking an inventory full of prayer pots (for SS) I take all rocktails+healer familiar except for two prayer flasks, one renewal flask and a mage flask, use the right protect prayer and augury. Can usually get 15-20 kills per trip, exit via the fairy ring, restock at Zanaris bank, rinse and repeat. I suppose a Royal Crossbow/Range flask setup would work too. | Favourite Game Music | Last.fm | HYT Friend Chat Rules |
johnny.odwyer.5
You can pretty easily do Glacors in Void Mage, with fire surge (Naturally) get a chaotic staff. I kill around 3.5 glacors /ovl sip so you'll get around 2 kills every 5 minutes if you're fast. http://runetrack.com/profile.php?user=Uth
Tim
are glacors themselves still tanks to kill? or did jagex fix that? last I heard they were almost unkillable. Popoto.~<
Quyneax
They should be fixed now.
