January 23, 201313 yr So I came back to RS yesterday, and I've been getting these bonus XPs. My cousin also came back to RS, but he doesn't have these bonus XP for skills. I've asked around, but nobody seems to know why I have this. Someone said that it's because I referred a friend (my cousin). Is this true? Also, it keeps saying "You have used up all of your bonus experience for this skill." Is there a way to disable this? Thanks!

January 24, 201313 yr Refer a friend changed slightly since it was rebranded as recruit a friend late last year, and you now get 10% bonus experience in the skill they are training. For example, if they get 1mil hunter exp you will get a bonus of 100k hunter exp to use whenever you want. If you are on the same world and nearby, this is 20% instead. If you are offline or on another world, you get the 10% next time you are both logged in at the same time on the same world. This effect seems to last while both players maintain membership.
