What section would this go in and is it against the rules?

Featured Replies

So i made a client for Old School Runescape(07 Scape) and i was wondering which section i would post it in and if it was against the rules to post a download for that. I would be completely willing to verify the program with an admin/mod so they can be sure its safe. Just wondering. Thanks!

By the way, the difference between this and the official runescape client is that it has a little calculator on the bottom, and i would be willing to add frequent updates that were requested.

I believe it would be right under 1.1 - Breaking or encouraging others to break any of Jagex's rules

- Links to downloads or hosting sites for unapproved 3rd party clients

So given that. I would say yes it's probably against the rules.

Also it's kind of useless.

But i'll leave that to mods to clear it up any further than that.

Source is usually fine. However, Tip.It already has a client (Well, kinda [swiftKit]). Although, I'm not sure whether or not they plan to add support or tools for OSRS. Unfortunately, when this discussion came up in the past, it was disallowed and therefore any links to, or advertising for, any client besides SwiftKit will have to be removed.

However, as Meredith pointed out, some people might find it (source) useful in the tech area of the forums if you were willing to share. :P.
