I was just wondering a few things first of all. Does black mask give 15% boost to mage and range as well? if i remember correctly it does...

 

Also wondering, how much better is farseer helm than mystic? ANd I really wanna know if its worth using drag gloves over gloves from fam crest for blast spells if im soloey using it for that in terms dps?

Black mask only boosts att and str by 15%. Does not stack with salve ammy, but salve ammy (e) boost is greater then that of black mask so salve (e) overrides the mask.

Black mask does NOT boost Range or Magic, that's why they added the Hexcrest and Focus sight years later

 

Farsser is just a few atk points better than Mystic, and has a fair amount more defense (for a mage item anyways)

 

The gloves from Family Crest don't do anything for BLAST spells, so Dragon Gloves would be better

Keep in mind that you can combine black mask w/ str/glory/fury for a bigger boost, as opposed to salve which can only combine w/ a small str or att boost from a helm

I'm pretty sure a Salve(e) + Neit helm is better than Black Mask + Fury isn't it?

 

Though there's not many Undeads you'll killing for slayer, the most notable one is Aberrant Spectres, which you can't use the mask for anyways.

The family gloves with fire bolt are always an increase in DPS over barrows gloves.

 

They increase your DPS by a massive 25% over no gloves, and +6 mage accuracy will never be able to make that much of a difference.

 

But they only work for bolt spells so anything else they're obviously rubbish.
