I've seen this message at least three times per day, for the past few days I've been playing.

 

And it's super annoying.

 

Why in the world is Jagex updating their servers so many times in a day anyway? Unless some game-breaking bug is popping up every single minute...

Patches to the HTML5 version I guess. It's much easier for the HTML5 client to reload also compared to the Java client.

I've only actually seen it once for beta updates and I been on most of the day (at least lobbying). They are using 'warm fix' for all the beta stuff where possibly (warm fix meaning it doesn't need a server restart much like a hot fix, but it does not take effect until you reload the game much like a cold fix) and almost none of the beta fixes have any impact on the java client thus not needing java game to even know it's happening.

Am I correct in saying that, in Old School servers, logging out during the Fight Caves doesn't let you resume from your current wave?

If I am, then it would be really annoying to have them update the game in the middle of a Fight Cave run.

You can currently press logout and it will log you out after you complete the current wave. If you are logged out due to a system update, or lose connection, it will knock out your progression. They're working on fixing that in a future update.
