Kaworu
Here's a link with my skills: http://services.runescape.com/m=hiscore/compare?user1=Edwardaido I'm not really sure what to do at this point. I'm trying to figure out how to make money, but PvM seems like a catch-22, where it's easiest to make money if you already have it. I don't have any high-level weapons, really. Or armor. I have about 7m cash with about 30m tied up with dragon bones that could get me to 90, but would that be worth it without gear? I have level 80 dung. but not enough tokens for any chaotics. Should I just DG until I get enough? Also, I have access to glacors but not automatons, I could do the quests to access them though. Yeah. Just looking for suggestions. stealthchris117
I couldn't tell you exactly what you should do, but if making money is what you want take a look at this list if you have not already: http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Money_makingIt is a pretty good list now and may give you some ideas of what you want to shoot for. ---------------------------- ';..;' ----------------------------
Aiel
I'd get the tokens for a chaotic staff and mage glacors with blood barrage for 99 mage/defense. Use that money to pay for 95 prayer/92 herblore, and maybe drygores as well. Then train melees via slayer. DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers ringsQBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow partsCR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size....It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty). Hedgehog
The pvm paradox that you described is most easily solved by doing activities that don't require money while you flip and do dailies. Fortunately for you, you still have a lot of xp before you get 90 combat stats, so chaotics are still, more or less, worth getting. Unfortunately, dungeoneering isn't really efficient, so grab a chaotic staff and claws, then work on getting the requirements for glacors while flipping. You can knock out 99 magic and defense at glacors pretty easily. Another option is to flip until you have probably 30m spare cash while training slow, cheap skills and buy a wand of treachery and ahrim's book, which is better than a chaotic staff at glacors anyway. Regardless, getting 99 magic at glacors will snag you a solid 50m or so, plus whatever you get from flipping. If you're diligent, you could have 200-300m by the time you finish. Expect to spend 25-30 hours on this if you go at a fairly casual pace. So let's say you have 150m and 99 magic. My recommendation is to knock out some slower skills, such as fishing, runecrafting, woodcutting, etc. while merchanting. If you keep it up, you should have enough money to buy basically anything by the time you start pvming. Basically, do things that don't require that much cash investment while you flip to earn money. You definitely have enough capital to do this, just don't get impatient.
Kaworu
Okay sounds good! I tried flipping a while back, and started getting the hang of it before school started again. I'll be sure to get back on that. Thanks for all the advice, guys!
Quyneax
I don't think t70 dw mage beats t80 2h mage anymore, spell damage got 'fixed' again recently. With your 90 fishing you can start player-owned ports, which will provide some income as well, and it will provide decent enough armour for bossing (until you can afford tectonic/sirenic etc.). Kaworu
Yeah I've been doing ports, but since Fishing is my only relevant 90, progress has been slow. Should I just get 90 prayer now, or sell my bones (~8800) to get 40m?

This only applies at glacors, though.
Quyneax
Why would conc. blast be good enough? It's only one basic, you'll be using Impact, Wrack, Wild Magic and Asphyxiate for most of your rotation (also chain/maybe combust ofc). T80 is supposed to be about 14% better than t70 (ignoring accuracy, based on a quick look at cmaul vs. dh greataxe). Conc. blast is 200% damage in 4 ticks (or 300% in 5/6?) as opposed to Wrack's 125% in 3 and Sonic at 120% in 3. So that puts Conc. blast at 25% better than Sonic - doesn't seem to beat a 14% increase on all abilities, really. Hedgehog
I'm not really the person to ask about it, but my understanding is that the perfect ability rotation uses concentrated blast and you can't maximize kph without it.
Yak-scythe
I can't see your skills at the moment but im hoping your close to these goals/stats.1) Get 90 fishing and 90 smithing and do ports for tetsu armour, which solves your high level armour problem. 2) train or leech your dg to 85 for frost dragons and by the time you hit 85 you'll have enough toks for a rapier/longsword/ccb/cstaff, 1 inventory of frost dragon bones is 450k and takes about 10 mins, very good money making in my opinion. or if you have a pack yak you can use the scrolls for pack yak and camp frost dragons while using scrolls to send bones to bank. 3) if you manage to obtain both of the above, use the tetsu gear and try to aim for a dual chaotic weapon it doesnt take long and camp bandos. once again this is assuming you have at least 80+ cb stats. TIP: If you go to bandos be sure to buy a scrimshaw of vamp, turn it on when minions and boss come flick it back off once there killed. it will prolong your trips by a alot! 4) Slayer! everyone knows slayer makes money, tasks like dragons are very good money. make sure if you get aviansies do it at Armadyl for drops and alot of exp! really them 4 options should solve your money/gear problems and in the process give you tons to do! [EDIT] If your having trouble leveling smith for the tetsu do warbands! it also gives 6K slayer exp - 10-13k Prayer and summoning! Finding a fc isnt too hard either. :)Just join Warband 1 or Warband 2 :) Runescape is a haven..
