Nadril
Ok, let me say that first off, I did follow a sprite creation tutorial on http://www.spriteart.com . However, after I got the basics of it I did the shading and stuff my self. :) About 10-11 Colors in it I think.... Anyways, i'm still incredibly new to pixel art, so any tips are greatly apreciated on this. I think I don't have enough contrast between stuff... maybe too much, buti 'll leave that up to you guys. EDIT: just realized I need a lot more contrast around the edge of the hood where his "face" is. I'll fix that up... 2nd EDIT: Newest version: 3rd EDIT: Thought the white brought out the ghost more :)

misterxman
Looking good, it's better recognizable without the black BG. Maybe replace the white BG with just a very dark grey rather than black, so some of the lines like the staff don't get so lost. Pixel sigs by me.Pixel Art

Godslayer
Pretty good for beggining, better than me. Try taking what you learned from that excercise and making something of your own creation. Remember to practice AA, interesting shading and dithering, and clear cut symbolism. You'll be a pro in no time! :o

Trust me, it'll be easier without all that daunting white space.

Was planning on doing some 64x64 or 80x80 characters than putting them into a sig :)
