June 9, 201412 yr This forum said to post ALL questions so I hope my one is OK here! I haven't played since around 2004 and with that being a whopping 10 years, I have forgotten passwords etc. Tried doing the recovery by email option but I have no idea if I ever put an e-mail onto anything back then. I can't think of any possible way of asking Jagex if my 2 characters are still around for me to access or if they were deleted without having all the relevant details (passwords, recovery questions etc) Is there any chance my characters haven't been deleted? Or should I just give up trying and carry on playing this new one? One character had a membership but the other sadly never did but they were both a lot better levelled and geared and both had much better names :P any help would be appreciated (even if it is to say I have no hope of finding them) Oh, both names are unavailable when starting a new character so I know they are at least used...but no idea by who!
June 9, 201412 yr They don't delete accounts. Your username, which you use for logging in, will always remain the same - the display name will be different, however, which you'll need to do when you log in for the first time again assuming that they're taken by other players. There's also the chance to recover them with certain details like credit card numbers used for membership, old passwords or recovery questions - so if you still have any information like that, then you do have a chance. If you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.

Fingers crossed, all though I'll still play again, it would be nice to go back to an old character :DI know exactly what you mean - I'd be devastated to lose my account, not just because of the stats/bank/the tangible stuff, but also because of the history that I have with it. Just as a little hint, I think that the credit cards are the most likely details to help you get it back - if I recall correctly, people have reported the most success getting them back when they have that. June 9, 201412 yr Author Good news! I got one of my characters back. I feel like I've lost gear, but it has been so long I could easily have sold the gear I thought I still had :P But I am so happy! Thank you very much.
