linexive
What happened to the wilderness... its dead?
Sobend
The activity of the wilderness has gone down significantly since the you quit. It may be going up soon with the Legacy mode (which is a mode where you can use the older combat system). Whether you want to play old school and new school is something I no one here but yourself can answer really. Play both (old school has a 2 week free trial) and see how you like it. -Sobend Proud to be free from the tyranny of pants. Hurrah!
linexive
Ah thats a shame, it was the best part of RS. Had so much fun in the wildy. Yeah i saw a bit about that today and had a look at the beta and its awesome, i dont like what they have done with rs3 very much.. the combat system is strange. Yeah i guess i will have to check them both out. Is pvp favored more on the old school servers do you know?
Sobend
I don't play Old School often but it definitely seems to have more wilderness activity than Runescape 3. The only big wilderness activity of note in Runescape 3 is an event that happens every seven hours. However I know there is a Runescape 3 PvP community; it's not huge though. -Sobend Proud to be free from the tyranny of pants. Hurrah!

However if you enjoy pvm slayer had some nice updates in osrs and eoc over the years [2:21:46 PM] Baldvin | Leik: these comp reqs are so bad [2:22:36 PM] Arceus Dark: Time to get...req'd? McFaire
I started way back then as well, and found all the new stuff a bit overwhelming. But when I logged into old school, all my levels were gone, not to mention wealth. I couldn't one-hit a chicken. What's up with that? I'm sticking with the new game. Slaying is a good way to get back into combat, and turns a profit. Dungeoneering is good for safely getting back into combat, and it's more fun and doesn't cost gp to level. The mini game Sinkhole is a good way to boost Dungeoneering points. Short quests are a good way to get back in the swing of things, because they tend to include tasks that get you familiar with new places and new skills. The best thing about the new game is that leveling is much, much faster. There are many ways to get bonus points -- you'll see these in the skill guides here on tip it. Also check out Tasks for getting back in the swing. Don't forget to get your 10-year cape and wear it proudly!
