  1. Good luck! That's got to be a high alch number between 1-2 million.
  2. Keep up the humor Jj. For those who do not know, Jj Dynomite is a comedic runescape legend. Expect nothing short of George Carlin.
  3. Forums are a declining medium and have been getting replaced by social media for years now. New forum development has been effectively killed and those that predate most social media are gasping for air. Fansites themselves are doing a bit better but not much. I wouldn't say the RS Wiki is to blame. It's more the lack of new players. Experienced players don't need help as much as new ones. Also fansites support would help but it's not the major issue. Fansites and Jagex basically ignored each other until 2009ish and everything went fine. Though I agree that Jagex is giving clear preference to reddit by posting there constantly while ignoring older sites such as tip.it. Although defeatism doesn't help the cause, the health of the fansite and the forums are largely out of the hands of tip.it and other fansites at the moment.
  4. You can play in browser using this link: http://world202.runescape.com/ It may be just me, but I get a 404 on that link on both Chrome and FF? It appears they recently changed fixed that link. There goes my way of playing.

  6. Releasing the master cape before the trimmed cape?
  7. But you don't anymore, to prevent confusion. Not sure if the every six month log-in before 2009 thing is correct, but I'll take your word for it.
  8. Late to the party, but here are the dates you need to have logged in to play RSC. • Aug 3rd 2005 - Feb 3rd 2006 (you need to have logged into this date range to play the veterans server) • November 2009 11th - 25th • June 2010 1st - 24th • September 2011 14th - 30th Even if you played when RSC was the main RS you will still need to have logged into one of those dates. You don't need to log in once every six months either. Case in point, here's a picture of me in 2013 logging into RSC for the first time since 2006.
  9. Clutch, thanks. Didn't know that it appeared this year as I couldn't find it where it was last year. I always liked how Jagex gave a nod to the American players with this event, even though they've never celebrated the fourth of July once in their lives.
  10. Is there a 4th of July event this year? I haven't heard anything regarding it.
  11. Even better: 1. Buy jugs of wine on the GE 2. Drink the wine but not all of it. Leave half of it still in there. 3. Sell the half wine jugs back on the GE. I average around 4 trillion gold an hour with this method.
  12. I was really surprised the Wildywyrm was not a toggle task. It's how I would have personally implemented it and I don't identify myself as someone who hates the wilderness. Boss-like monsters are toggleable, so monsters that are going to feature player versus player combat should be toggleable as well. Even in the Old School Runescape Wilderness rejuvenaton, you don't have to kill the bosses, fish the fish, etc. But if you get a wildywyrm task and have no slayer points, you're out of luck. Makes no sense. At the same time there's a bit of me saying that you should just go into the wilderness. You risk nothing now with the three item thing protect thing and from what I've heard people aren't too aggressive over there. I'm looking forward to more wilderness centered updates.
  13. Tell that to the dozens of people who have various pets after only a few dozen kills. Err, what? I don't understand your point. Obviously just because a few people get lucky doesn't mean something isn't extremely rare. And I think you know that so I need more explanation to what your point is. It's more than just a few people. In any event, it's stupid - boss pets are prestige items that should be reserved for skilled and dedicated boss hunters, not lucky scrubs. I'd be in favour of minimum thresholds. I don't really think you should view them like that. As stated earlier, I view them as random things added into the game. They're supposed to (or I think they should be supposed to) be given to extremely lucky people - including but not inclusive to epic boss fighters. The only reason why they are items of bossing prestige is because the community gives them that value, which in my opinion is not the proper designation. If you see someone with a QBD pet for instance, you should think to yourself "Wow, that guy got pretty lucky while fighting the QBD once" not "Wow, that person is one hell of a QBD killer!" Yes, it is very difficult to attain multiple pets without getting lucky, but the pet's aren't really supposed to be set out and attained. They're just there for unsuspecting killers. If you decide to go out and attain multiple pets, that's fine, but you also need to realize that the pets aren't meant to be perceived that way and you might end up getting unlucky in your pursuit. I will add one thing: Jagex has been slightly going against what I believe to be the purpose of the pets by adding some sort of threshold and also the insane Final Boss title. I suppose this is their way of acknowledging people like you who really want to get a pet. But the reason for the pets being in here in the first place hasn't changed. I will admit that I'm not in the hardcore pvm community like you are. In fact, I would fit under your "scrub" category (thanks for the compliment!). So you may write off this reply if you find me out of touch. However I think your viewpoint is simply a bit misguided when we're talking about the game as a whole.

  15. Want to hold millions of cannonballs in your backpack? Sure! But 29 shrimp? No No No No No!!!!
  16. Any tips for beating Hreidmar and Grimsson? Tried twice, couldn't kill one of them either time. First time I went in with no strategy trying to out DPS Hreidmar. Almost worked but failed when I was about to kill Hreidmar. Second time I trapped Hreidmar and lured Grimsson (similar to the quest) but had difficulty avoiding Grimsson's charge while keeping Hreidmar trapped.
  17. Major economical screw-ups could be one potential reason. You think people "panic sell wand" now, just wait until people ultimately want/need 5 times the supplies :P.Or just don't have a cap... That would be more fun to watch :3 and people wouldn't feel the need to get max xp There is an experience restriction due to Java. Removing the cap would potentially allow someone to pass the cap, which would make you unable to log in. In Runescape Classic there are no GP or XP caps, and once you pass these you are unable to log in. That's why I'm guessing the caps are there in the first place. So removing the caps would be a bad idea. I suppose you could extend the caps, but this wouldn't help much. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the java experience cap would be 214.7m XP because XP is stored in increments of 0.1. So you can't extend the Jagex inserted cap too much.
  18. I can't say I like this one, particularly the example you used of somebody getting many 99s at once. For one, I actually know this person and as somebody who is qualified on making judgments about him because of this I can say he's not interested in taking Runescape selfies of himself. The real Luis is actually a very helpful person. When I started playing Runescape Classic, he was one of the few people who helped me out on a consistent basis. He would take time out of his training on either game to help me out there. For example he killed Zombies in the Lost City area to get me the proper equipment and also crafted leather armor for me. He's a nice guy, and in this community I don't like either we could use more people like Luis. Of all of the examples you could have used to illustrate the faults in the community... There are more reasons than spamming up chatboxes to get multiple 99s at once. Also, if you really do not want to see announcements, turn announcements off. It's not rocket science.
  19. Also following Old School when it comes to boss pets too :p.
  20. Handcannons blow up now :/. Even though he has 91 FM he's still going to go through a lot of handcannons. I personally would use a crystal bow or Karil's crossbow (waterfiends are weak to bolts) until level 80. If you do familiarization before waterfiends you'll get 3x? charms for an hour or so.
