Would it be better to buy an ascension pair outright or try to hunt for signets to lower monetary costs? I assume the first option is best, but I am wondering if anyone managed to do the second one. I imagine the second option can cost a lot more money and time if I end up unlucky.

I value my time at about 5m/hr.

I'd at least buy the mainhand, so even if you decide to hunt for the offhand and get screwed over by bad luck, at least you have the mainhand.

In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.

Even if you do save a little off signets, it's going to take a while, from what I understand.  And since time is money, it might be better to just buy one and make cash using a more reliable method, but it's your choice :P.

Some people end up spending 300m making 1 bow. To be honest, it would be better just to buy both bows and do some other form of money making in the time it would take you to make the bows yourself.

“I had a feeling we weren’t coming back from this fight when it began.”

“Do you have any regrets?”

“I don’t. It seems surprising, I know, but I wouldn’t change a thing. This is how it was meant to be.”

“Huh, you never really notice how lovely the day is until you realize you’ll never see it again.”

“Mmmhmm.”
