January 5, 201511 yr been along time since I logged on RS and it has changed quite a bit. I chose legacy just cuz its closest to what i remember. I started my account in 02-03 somewhere around there. Either when i was younger everything seemed slower, or the game is that much easier now but in 3 days I've gained 40 or so total lvls and 3 combat lvls from 76 to 79 and made 1mil in the process. Either way im tanking back in and gaining some lvls feels good. Like to find some people that are active p2p that would like to train or whatever. trying to relearn some of the tricks and good training places as i have decent lvls all around but need to power lvl lol. P.S. when i returned, it says my username is no longer available and to choose a new one, although my account is still all the same, i still log in with my old name, my new name is what it appears in game. my question is what name do i put here on the forum for ppl to add me? my new name or old account name.?
January 5, 201511 yr Oh it's not just that, the game is definitely easier than when you last played. I play F2P but if you would still like to add me you are welcome to. Welcome back to RS and welcome to TIF! For people to add you, they need your current name, not the original one. That is, they need the name that appears next to your chat whenever you talk in game. Most likely you lost your name because Jagex cleared it to make a bunch of names available for more 'active' players, so they changed your name to a temporary one and made your old one available to someone else, who took it. January 5, 201511 yr Author Sweet thought so. Yeah I'm not sure how long ill stay p2p just did for now cuz i knew i would be playing quite a bit for a while here. Its crazy how easy cooking, crafting, fletching, smithing, or anything with that pop up menu is to do. its like set it and forget it kinda thing. i get so much more done while thats happening. Combat just seems easier too. So are "old school" accounts linked to "legacy" accounts or are there basicly 3 different games now?
January 5, 201511 yr You can freely switch between Legacy and Evolution of Combat (under settings, in different places depending whether it's Legacy->EoC or vv). Old School is a second, separate game where you have to maintain an active subscription and start over from scratch in stats. You can do this at the OldSchool RuneScape website. However, you can have your RS3 character and your Old School character both under the same account name, if that all makes sense. [spoiler=Pictures]EoC->Legacy: Legacy->EoC Hope that helps. If you have any other questions just ask! :) "Fight for what you believe in, and believe in what you're fighting for." January 6, 201511 yr Author thanks for the help. I really am just going to have questions on new items. any suggestions on good training areas? Right now im training on deadly red spiders(95) and doing slayer tasks. The biggest time saver i forgot to mention imo is the ease of teleporting. you can free telly all over the map now and with glory ammy and ring of wealth i just jump around.
January 6, 201511 yr Yeah and don't forget to unlock lodestones at your convenience too for free teleports. Spiders are pretty good, but Slayer is probably your best bet if you're doing that anyway and have a decent level. That way you get another skill trained for free in the process :P. I feel like i cant decide what skill to train everything goes so easy really.I'd love the name 'Arceus' but some guy apparently has a collection of like 5 of them and I guess he keeps active. At least, they were in the same tiny clan together with just enough people to get a cape, so that's what I conclude .
