Putting the sidebar back on diet...

Featured Replies

I didn't want to be the one to say it, but I've noticed...more of the sidebar around today than before. Is it possible it could be shrunk back to its previous size? Here are the before and after images for comparison:

That's today vs Wayback Machine from December (the latest date I can find), and yes that's the furthest it went across. Could it be restored to its old size please?

Since it doesn't run all the way down the page in any case, I see no harm in slimming it back down especially as we're used to the old design. Unless there was some meeting to decide this all to which I was not invited!

Apparently it's due to ad on the side which requires a certain space  .

Well then, they need to ban the over-wide advertisement from the rotations.  Nobody wants that kind of junk ruining the content, and slimmer adverts are less likely to make users angry. :ugeek:

To be honest, I do find it annoying that I can't see who the person is who posted the lastest posts in each forum without clicking on it due to the fact that I'm playing RuneScape while browsing the forums, which is what I do all the time.

So I completely agree it needs to be changed.
