How To Get The Fremennik Sword In The Quest

Featured Replies

I don't suppose it's that important since there are other NPCs that drop the sword, but I thought I'd share my methods on how to beat all 4 Koschei.

My stats:

Attack 55

Strength 60

Defence 60

Prayer 43

Combat level 72

Wearing only basic gloves and boots. Also have a ring of dueling to get out just in case... Note my attack level is my lowest combat level which is what I'm using.

Items:

2 super attack potions (brings attack to 68)

2 prayer pots

7 rings of recoil

17 baked potatoes with tomato and egg (heals 16 each)

The first three are simple, use protect against melee if you're taking hits and recharge with the prayer pots. I used some super attack potion for the third. Don't use the rings of recoil yet.

For the forth Koschei switch off protect against melee and put on a ring of recoil. Take a swig of super attack potion if you need to top up. Then let him whallop you for a bit, I only hit him for 20 total from my own fists! Heal yourself with food as you need to, but keep an eye of that ring in the equipment window. As soon as the ring dissappears put on another one. Eventually the forth Koschei will knock himself out. I did it JUST, but an eighth ring of recoil is probably safer. And I had no more potatoes left so I'm probably at the lower limit of accomplishing the sword.

Then I get the sword...wow...it's a bit pants really.

rings of recoil + use your fletching skill to make a bow and some arrows to use to kill him, maybe craft some dhide chaps and stuff to...

Thought about the ranging method, but I think someone has already posted that arrowheads count as weapons. Although, I didn't try so can't confirm this.

Bring wolve bones and fletch them to Ogre arrowtips.

Also, I suggest bringing more Prayer pots, since he drains ALL your prayer in the fourth form.

You COULD waste resources trying to kill the Deathless. Yeah, go for it.

OR.

You could kill Market Guards instead.

CANE

Just to be different.

Think about it. A freaking Dragon Cane with a Dragonstone gem.

The spec will simply your character equiping a glove and beachslapping the enemy, who will break down and do the Cry emote for 10 seconds straight.

I did say it wasn't important, but if you're up for the challenge...

You don't need prayer pots for the forth, you need him to hit if the ring of recoil is to work.

I got the sword from this guy(i can't remember his name) but is there even a usr for the sword or is it just for looks or what?
