um, the reason that people smelt steel in f2p is because that way they can always get it. iron is a vicious toss up.

Steel is more used in F2P because its a very reliable way to make money

 

 

 

Iron is faster to mine but whith a 50% loss ratio it take u more (or =) time to smith for less (or = but not more) xp
