Daruina Posted March 18, 2006 Share Posted March 18, 2006 Alright, a few weeks ago I decided it was time to de-frag the computer because I haven't for about a year, so I loaded it up and got it started. Came back a few hours later and it hadn't changed from when I left, it kept changing from 0% to 1%, and then back to 0% again. Does anyone know why this is?! It'll get to 70%, then go back down to zero, but then it will "climb the ranks" more quickly this time. The % completed bar really is completely inaccurate. The problem is caused by programs writing to the disk while the defrag is running, hence Mercifull's advice. Btw does anyone know how I can speed up this computer so I can play runescape again? I used to play on another computer but we don't have it anymore.
