Doomster
crucial.com - use their memory selector, and they guarantee compatibility. Rare to find any system that their selector doesn't cover.
Mr_Putter
Oh joy...I checked crucial.com. I believe you now Merciful, but it's still more expensive than getting it straight from Dell. :\. And more questions: How much will 512 extra RAM increase my framerate on Oblivion, and how much notice would I take from not putting it in pairs? Because I probably would go with 1x 512 in my third slot, then later in the year when I get a job I'd get another 512 (for a total of 1.5gb). It's just easier to upgrade next time. Also, when I try to upgrade to the latest graphics driver, (Catalyst 6.3), I get a "Zero Display Serive Error". I've tried completely removing all ATI software from my comp several times, I've tried the same in safe mode, and I've turn off all my anti-virus software while doing it. Still nothin. And just one more. For some reason in the past few days whenever I start Windows it takes me to the account screen. Thing is, there's only one account, and I can't figure out how to make it go straight into windows instead of making me click the one and only choice. I'm realatively sure I didn't screw with the accounts, and am also relatively sure that no one's been on my comp. Just annoying.
