the hard drive? since microsofts wonderful update on the 11/12 java does not work on my family pc, it simply crashes. Now ive tried what andrew gower said, but to no avail.

 

 

 

So my question is as the title, can it be done without loseing everything?

Yes, it can be done without losing everything.

Offline and unavailable.

If you do that, it will leave your java installation the same and won't change anything ;)

 

 

 

But if you really want to do it, just throw your windows CD in the drive.

There are instructions on RS.com on how to get RS working again. Its because your pc is corrupted with a borked installation.

its not my pc, its a family members and RS is never played on it. Its since sorted itself out :shock:

 

 

 

and mercifull i said in my 1st post that i tried it to no avail :)
