Music Problems

Featured Replies

I can't hear any music from playing RuneScape. I'm using high-detail mode, and have XP. I can hear the sound of mining, fishing, fighting, etc., bu can't listen to the music. If you need more infomation, please ask me it.

Try opening up your master volume controls to see if any setting is muted or turned down all the way.

If your using Firefox you can't hear any music. Thats because the Runescape's music was coded for IE only.

Check the settings tab in Runescape to see if you have the music on also.

Hm, if I can hear the other sounds (fighting, cooking, mining, etc.) you think my master volume is off? :P

I'm not using fire fox though. I got Norton.

Last time i checked, norton wasnt an internet brower

Bottom right hand corner, look for the little speaker, double click on it and the volume control will open up. Make sure they are all turned up and not muted.

Make sure your playing on high detail and that the volume controls in game are turned up.

Check your speakers and make sure every thing is plugged in and has power.

If all those options fail, it could be a problem with hardware or drivers, but hopefully it wont come to that because thats a whole different problem.

The r\problem of being able to hear the sound effects but not the backround music in runescape is almost always the "MIDI (or SWSYnth) " processor being muted , as the sound effects are in WAV format and are not affected by this.

Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices > Advanced

(or double click the volume control in your system tray (next to the clock)

Un Mute the MIDI(SWsynth) and the midi music for runescape should work.
