i did lassar tele go sell off some newly made sets of spit bark, and i was shocked to see blue pyrefiends, and i dont recall this being said in ANY update.

They're not harmful, they hit pretty low. They do have drops, but when they drop its a lot rarer than most npc drops. I added them into the bestiary awhile ago: http://tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2monster_id=637
