Pure Ess?!!?

Featured Replies

What's going on here? Does this mean that all of my regular ess is pretty much worthless? How much does regular ess sell for now? Can someone please tell me in some detail what is going on?

Well, first of all. Every free player is feeling your pain, try reading the so called "great fixer-upper" that Jagex created to stop macro's on their main website.

Anyway, yes, your normal essence is 98% Useless now, very few if any members will buy them now. I've heard rumors of it going for 5-15gp each.

Just hope for the best.

Sheesh...the stuff is completely worthless...5 gp! This affects members too since their biggest source of ess is virtually gone! As for me, I am definitly not an autoer! Whoever is behind this brilliant update is either out of their minds, or has no understanding of the word "economy"! Have these people never heard of costumer satisfaction?!?

You really should read the updates that Jagex put on the Runescape Websites.

The story in short: In order to stop macro'ers, jagex has divided Ess into 2, Normal and Pure. You need to be member and lv 30 Mining to mine pure essence.

Normal essence can only be used for Air, Mind, Water, Earth, Fire and Body runes.

Pure essence is required for every other runes, such as nats and laws as well as ALL of the combination runes.

lmfao thats funny... economy.. i guess you didnt play classic? if you did you would know after the autoers work on the game for a few years the "economy" goes to hell in a hand bag... loot at classic.. bloods were going for like 2-3k... autoers took over now they are 10k-15k each..

This update dosen't stop auoters...it just makes their stuff worth less, so they will just create 20 more lvl 3 accounts to mine ess. Or, they will push a few of their accounts to members like the yew autoers. I think that one of the alternatives suggested in this week's Tip It Times would be much more effective.

Isn't Normal Ess still valuable though, for F2P? Cause F2P can ONLY make those runes. And what does Pure Ess look like?

no f2p likes the new update with pure ess and yes i hate it too
