Bellatrix
I've noticed that though I have high attack stats (86 + super attack potion + whip + other items), I am doing poorly against Iron dragons. On the other hand, when I used a dds stab attack, it hited nice amount of times, though it is supposed to be weaker then a whip. So, my question is: Is there a kind of melee attack that is significantly better then other? Crash attack maybe? stab? Thanks for reading and replying :-) Slayer: 85/85, Herblore: 82/82, Farming 81/82, def 99/99.new goals: full sardomain costum from t.trails (2/6), slayer 87/90, attack 98/99Dragon drops: 4 half shields, 2 dragon spears | whip drops: 5.barrow drops: Ahrim's hood
foxbat9
no dds may seem to be doint more damadge but the whip will awalys own dds look at your equimpment screen and see the attack bonus and use the highest type of attack bonus that will affect the battle

cardovilian
I've just finished an Iron Dragon Slayer task and I noticed this too. Though I would say that, on balance, the whip was still the better weapon because of the greater damage done when it did hit. Why is 'common sense' so named, when there is so little of it about?Welcome to puberty, we've been expecting you.
