Doomster Posted April 27, 2006 Share Posted April 27, 2006 Post the EXACT error codes in the tech and computers section, and we may be able to find an answer. Looking the codes up on google often gives a clue, though often just that "there's a lot of it about". Most bluescreens / stop errors are caused by one of a few things: 1. Corrupted/Incompatible drivers or files, or possibly a virus 2. Faulty hardware, often weak RAM or PSU. Can also be the hard disk dying, so get hold of the diagnostic program from the maker's site, or any other program which can report the SMART status. Do updates, run memory tests etc. If all else fails, then you are down to re-install or replace - it's often quicker to re-install Windows than to clean it up.
