April 30, 200620 yr 18.5k def XP, so the only "pures" it is actually useful with are the 40 defence (Rune or dragonhide), start with 33 defence and addy, so that your defence will not exceed 40, or a quick conversion from an Iron Pure to Addy. It would seem that by starting the quest, going to the island and then NOT entering Elvarg's cage, but going straight to the push wall, you may be able to open up Crandor Island for training.

And teleporting off the island would not doing anything to the status of the "odd wall". The person that he quoted is correct.
