Sorry, i get VERY carried away :? Oh well.. and paint.net isn't that great, maybe it's just I'm too used to normal paint, but also when i was shading with say 6 blues, and tried to fill just one, it covered them all every time i tried :(

Yeh, that's the ONLY Downside to it: the fill tool absolutely sucks.

Easy access to colours, frames, better looking worksurface, different choice of brushes, dude it owns.

 

 

 

But the fill thing REALLY lets it down. There should be a plugin to give options on it; MSPaint style, or Paint.NET Style.

:D after like half a hour of downloading and finding the right file it kinda sucks.. oh well

Downloading, about half an hour, finding the file, 20 seconds (Firefox - Tools > Downloads ;) ) and using: pwnage.

the problem that you might be having with the fill tool is the gradient, its at the bottom of the toolbar with all the stuff, set it zero. that way its the same as paint =)

 

 

 

hope ive helped. also you people may be interested in the AA tool, you can switch on and off, on if blended, off is pixelated. its positioned next to the alpha thingy, on the bottom row of the top toolbar. its like a line with lighter colours to each side, you can toggle it on and off with that. there are also many tutorials that people have made for it. they can be found on the forum. the link for it is: http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewforum.php?f=15

 

however i belive you need to register, but its free and its worth 5 mins.

The only problem is the fill tool:

 

 

 

You need a black outline around the area you want to fill, or it won't do it, it'll fill the next biggest outline of BLACK ONLY.
