The new engine in Linux

Runescape has always worked in Linux, which is good because that means I don't have to reboot to Windows to play Runescape (which would end up having me stop playing RS altogether).

The new engine of Andrew/Jagex sounds very cool. However, I'm wondering if they will still have thought about the Linux users? The dual core support sounds scary, because I didn't know Java could support such low level things, and maybe that could mean they used some library that doesn't work in Linux? :?

I play RS in Opera, though in FireFox it works as well in my linux system, maybe try reinstalling the newest version of Java or so...

Based on a business point of view I doubt Jagex would think about stop serving anyone who uses an operating system that is not of the norm. They want as many people to play their game as possible. They use the nerd-chic firefox and so they may even have a few people who use Linux (as it is very, very nerd-chic to do so).
