Casting Fire Bolt faster than high alching for magic lvls??

Featured Replies

Hi, this is relevant in this forum as I will be using probably full ahrims (need 70 def first) and will probably do it on members monster/area.

I was wondering, I have like 55k alchs to lvl 94 magic or something close to that. If i bought 55k Fire Bolt spells worth of runes, would it be faster do you think? what is the base exp of a fire bolt? high alch is 65 exp each so I am wondering what woud be better? thanks!

base xp of fire bolt is 21.5xp, so I would stick to high alching if I were you.

agh, but i am lvl 88 magic... and with full ahrims and god cape etc i should hit quite well each time (chaos gaunts too)

do it whatever way you choose- either way casting a high amount will take along time, why not do it in combat.

its yr char- yr choice

you should hit 20's with EACH fire bolt you cast... so you need buy atleast 90-110k chaoses if you want it with firebolt....

i'd go fire bolt and cast it on monsters with good drops like drags.

Barrows drops: Torags pl8, Torgas legs, Guthans chainskirt

hmm this is making my decision hard lol

90k chaos would be 12.6m, and then the airs would be about another 5.5mil. would be faster tho i think... and also drops.... what should i fight? do drags get hit well with fire?

You could do metal drags. With that many chaos u would most likely get multiple dragon drops, legs and skirt, and in the end it would probably pay for the difference in money.

hahaha...that's awesome...

If you do something to the extreme...like alching 55k times...you will go nuts! After a couple thousand you will probably wander off to something else. I think it's best if you split it up into a few things to keep you from snoozin' off. Do a couple thousand high alch, then kill a few dragons, then do a couple thousand Cammy tele. This way you'll be doing a few different things while you level. You could also do some slayer assignments.

Doing different things might keep you from going crazy... good luck!

I personally use a combination of crumble undead and curse in the varrock sewers to train my magic. The base exp for crumble undead is just over 30 exp, and curse gives just under 30. The runes for crumble undead are cheaper, and curse costs next to nothing. I got my magic from 56 to 60 in a couple hours doing this (however, I have no idea if this is good or bad, please advise  ) Of course, training on high level creatures would get you great drops, but it also means you would have to do trips for food, adding quite a lot of time. Unless there are safe spots in the metal dragon dungeon...idk. Anyway, I have taken a paragraph to make my point, so enjoy!
