My question is to get them both skilled up(willing to spend money)what spells should i be using to get magic up the quickest in order of lvl, and what runes should i be making....any feedback apricated

fire strike is a good method until you hit 55, which then is high alch all the way down, though it seems to be getting harder

airs for rc, then if you want, earth runes, best for exp, not so good for money. Airs is best for money,

well since im f2p cant do much of high alch unless i spend the money which i probably will, but thanks this helps a lot

Curse failing is a good method. Get yourself a set of full steel, then go to the Al Kharid Chasm Mine, then go above so you can see the scorps. You will have a -65 magic bonus, which automatically fails. Curse, click on curse, click on scorp, repeat.

You still get experience if the Curse fails? Is there a certain level that you hit where it won't give you experience anymore? I didn't know about this...

As for Runecrafting, you can buy regular Rune essence now for 15-30gp each, so if you have the money, just buy 500-1,000 Rune essence and craft Air runes. Runecrafting will level up extremely fast in the beginning, but once you hit about 45 it'll slow down dramatically.

Does the curse still give exp even if it fails?...if so ill go with that method...seems like it would be boring though but oh well

I failed 3k curse spells, so yeah, it works. And Body Runes give GREAT exp, 7.5 ea.

Curse does indeed give xp when it fails, so does every spell.

You may find that cursing a few thousand times is tedious and boring though. Also, theres no harm getting hitpoints xp.

As you want to raise both runecrafting and magic, fire striking is probably the way to go.

Make minds and airs, and use a fire staff on autocast.

You can mine or buy the essence, depends if you have money to spend.

1 trip to the air alter will get to lvl 2, then make minds up to lvl 11, then make airs (2x airs now) until double minds (lvl 14). Even it out so you have about 1000 of each rune, then go and have some fun fire striking. Train anywhere which has a safe spot.
