May 18, 200620 yr Ok, this random death flaw\bug has been fixed. You don't have to worry about this going on anylonger. You can go back to your normal runescape lives. For those wishing to have a rollback, sorry but there will be none. As you may be aware we had a bug in the game which occasionally hit people for high numbers at random causing them to die. This has now been fixed and we apologise for any inconvenience caused. We will NOT be doing a roll back. This bug happens in quite specific areas under very specific circumastances. It was actually very obscure and not something which we'd have been able to pick up under normal testing. It has actually been in the game for a little while (it's definitly been in longer than the new engine update) and we hadn't heard anything about until this morning. We do not believe many people at all have been affected in a way which lost them valuable items. - Hence why I say there will be no roll back. The only reason that it suddenly came to a head in the last couple of hours is because suddenly it became widely known and people started standing around on mass in the affected areas to see people die. Obviously most these people would have bought three or less valuable items, so those deaths don't really count. Just wanted to let the concerned people know about this, hope i helped, =) My Main
May 18, 200620 yr And what about all the people who got dragon drops, the level they were striving for, crafted a ton of nature runes, etc. Would it be fair to nearly everyone in the game just because a select few people died under VERY specific circumstances?
May 18, 200620 yr yeah the losses for a roll back would be FAR greater the the few rares lost tru the bug

May 18, 200620 yr complain and say how much you lost. put jagex under pressure They reason that they wont do a rollback is because to many people would claimed that they lost their phat, santa etc when they didnt  RIP The Old Nite ='(

May 18, 200620 yr Why didn;t they fix the bug if they knew about it before, shows how much they care about the players of this game.
May 18, 200620 yr They didn't know about the bug before. They had to write and run a new script to locate it.
May 18, 200620 yr complain and say how much you lost. put jagex under pressure They reason that they wont do a rollback is because to many people would claimed that they lost their phat, santa etc when they didnt  A rollback is a complete rollback to a previous time...it has nothing to do with people saying what they lost.
May 18, 200620 yr Sad that the poeple who lost money unfairly do not have any compensation, but I am pretty happy they will not roll back. It would have probably caused a lot more problems, like people who got chains and such complaining that they don't get to keep it, and imagine the millions of xp that would be gone. .:: RSC Product ::..:: 116 Combat ::..:: 1777 Overall ::..:: Biggest Single Drop Log Ever ::.
May 18, 200620 yr They didn't know about the bug before. They had to write and run a new script to locate it. Did u read what the mod put... He said it's been in the game for a while...
May 19, 200620 yr ppl are saying its still going on and ppl are still dying i think its shocking that jagex says they only found out about this this morning yet mod paul posts the bug has been fixed twelve hours later and they never had the decency to put a message on the main page to at least warn ppl about this seeing as they new it was happening at least 12 hours before they put the message that it has been fixed
